I'm not trying to be some weird troll as a newbie I am curious though. I'm trying to get ready for my first time I planning on starting with White Widow feminized or auto flower, after talking to MiMed and 780z. That being said what would be the best lighting setup indoors in lower New Mexico, Southwest USA? Thanks in advance for any help.
Is it true auto FLOWERS a no brainer on any light setupI would consider led for a hot place. But it costs.

My 480 watt 3500k kingbrite quantum board was delivered to my door all said and done 580 cad. Probly like 450 usd.
I have a small clip on fan transfering heat away from the driver which my exhaust fans then pick up. I'm going to do my whole tent with these lights from kingbrite.
-Their stupid bright. The ability to dial them up and down for veg and flower is a bonus.
-medium bin samsung diodes
-extremely clean and professional looking setup
-can buy 2.5 of these for the price of one HLG
These quantum boards much easier to manage their heat as opposed to my CMH.
My plant loves this light. I cant explain explain it. Its blowing the 315 watt cmh's out of the water in terms of growth rate.
Thanks for all the info didn't realize a couple plants would cost so much But if you're going to do it do it right.View attachment 893604

See that's why like you so much the seed site makes it seem like God's gift. Pure perfection they don't explain any cons. Thanks brotherBetter to go fem photoperiod for learning and better results in my opinion. Also less light needed in flower for more possible yield. Also better high in my opinion.
Autos are great for outdoor. A mid season harvest was their actual purpose originally.
I started with them. The hype got me. They were touchy to learn feeding with. And they dont have the same quality high or i would have continued to grow them.
That's cool theirs enough room for all of us. Especially since China makes it all. "Why can't we be friends " made me remember the song.Wait i was defending i phones. I hate android like i hate microsoft windows.
Thanks brotherView attachment 893604

I'm serious I've seen how well it works. Time to grow my own.Lm301b currently the best.chip for QBs?
I need all the help I can get I'm glad to get so much advice. I need to do it right. ThanksFor indoors, photoperiods are better in every way IMHO. Only difference is you control when they flower by changing the timer setting. Easy peasy.
And yeah southern US, LED is the way to go. Look at HLG
Looks good to meYeah man. That order shipped from china to my doorstep in canada in 7 days exactly.
So far I've bought blurple leds, cob light bars, cmh and quantum boards. And out of all 4 I like that chinese quantum I got. Well my plant likes it better.
Also 440 usd for a 480 watt quantum board isnt anywhere near as bad as 1050 usd for an HLG 480 watt.
Difference between the top bin diodes that HLG uses and the medium bins that kingbrite uses is a 10% difference in efficiency max. And that's taken from LED experts on various LED forums.
Alot of led lovers gonna try and sell you on HLG. Its a great light. Im not saying it isnt. But your throwing money away for a name brand and 10% more efficiency diodes. If you have money to throw around by all means. But if you like me and want bang for buck. Go chinese. Alot of people using them with great success. And as u can see from the pics. I tried a bunch of diff lights. Same strain and the best performing plant picked my light for me.
Can get two chinese 480 watts for less than one hlg 480 watt.
Was a no brainer for me.
Lotta options out there. At the end of the day. Go bang for your buck. And heat management.
My opinion.
Good luck

This we can agree on. I just like to have support and I'm not saying the Chinese companies don't just that my experience is not all that great with it should I have a warranty issue. I don't mind paying the extra but if I didn't have the money to waste I would prob go Chinese also.Yeah man. That order shipped from china to my doorstep in canada in 7 days exactly.

Definitely, you know I value your advice brother@Padrepuff for a couple plants you can use lights for a 3x3 area. 400 mh/hps, 315 lec (cmh), or the boards or led strip light builds for a 3x3.
With practice you can get nearly a pound from those. Save some up front money and it is easier to cool than the big lamps.
You can always add more and expand later.
Absorbing all the informationYeah dude. If I was more established and had money to spend, I'd consider HLG definately. I had to keep spending money on little things here and there to keep my plants alive. I'm not in a position right now where a top bin diode matters much to me. Not until I get everything else dialed in .
I don't hate Mac;-)I dont really hate windows. ;-)
