These guys are gonna be a pain later, should I transplant them even though they are in flower? They need water every other day, I dumped the perlite out and added regular soil, maybe that will help. They are gonna be hungry and thirsty in these pots I bet, crazy stretch, think it’s about done, I should clone some of these.

We all are hesitant to transplant a flowering plant. I honestly dont see why it would hurt but i the plant is finished stretching it is likely pretty much dont growing roots too.

Why not transplant one of them and just maintain the other as is. Yes you will be watering often but it wont take much water or nutes at once.

I grew a 2 oz big pole of a flower in a little one gallon round pot once. The square pots have a bit more root space.

Could be fun. :-)

Thanks for the encouragement!!! I’m having a lot of fun actually!!!! I need to minimize my experiments a little but I’ve learned SO MUCH about this and gardening in general!!! Thanks To everyone watching!!!

Well I did it. I ordered a kingbrite 240w lm301h with IR and UV from alibaba
I got it in 4000k because I want to order more 3000k and split everything apart like a maniac, and the hps adds so much red I wanted more spectrum in the tent. it’s going to replace my burple in the flower tent, burple is going to veg tent.

So ready to cut this thing, I accidentally broke a small branch moving it a few days ago, hung it up, going to test it lol. I don’t think it’s finished, I can really tell a difference with the lighting from side to side, the herer as well, the hps makes chunky buds, the led helps frost them it seems. It’s the viparspectra, the herer vegged under it extremely well, but it’s a cheap crappy led. Been looking at led for a while, going to keep the hps though.
LoL. I "accidentally" broke a small branch.

Yep yep....I been known to get a little fumble fingers myself nearing the end.

Plants look awesome 707!

So I have 3 young herer, one is shorter than the others, I’m going to put it in the bigger pot and see what happens. The smaller one is a 5” the big one is 7”, a lot more depth for roots, but if they don’t grow as much after stretch might not be worth the shock time. Gonna test it out :)

Here’s a pic of the 3 JH, small one in the middle is getting transplanted, should be almost the same height as the others in the new pot, looking for differences in the phenotype for fun. 4 different JH from seed. If they stretch much more I gotta lst, they are getting heat claw??

the top left one was not directly under hps, the other 2 were right under it. I moved them more under the led for now, my reflector is only 2” from the top of the tent, My ballast has a turbo mode I’m using, maybe I should turn it back to 400.

Put the seedlings under it to make room, they are far enough away should be fine.

The seedlings are loving the increased light, notice an improvement just since yesterday.

I’m watching the led and the hps work together. I see something here, it’s so complicated to explain no one wants to hear my mind drool, but I can try to simplify. Led rocks for lettuce veg leafy growth, should be shining strait down on all the leaves!!! But it sucks for fruit and veggies, the hps comes in.
My buds are chunking up FAT on one side, took me a while to realize what was happening as I move everything around. Under the led, with extreme side angle from the hps is how it’s happening. not under the hps. This is some seriously intriguing stuff. Small hps lights are cheap!!

I believe the hps is making ALL the flower weight. But not underneath it. I think an led in the middle with bluer light, with a couple small 250watt hps on on each side shining up into the flowers will yield some impressive results.

Its the high level of blue that the led is putting out that grows leaves more than branches and buds.

My best results so far are with 2 600hps and 1 315 cmh overlapped. Better plant health and colors from the cmh and big not so leafy buds from the hps.

Break time lol, I wanted to mention that before now, I had been removing the big leaves shading the branches exposing the branches and nodes to light, this had a stunting affect, i thought it would encourage faster and more numerous branch growth. For bonsai practice you defoliate every couple years if needed, makes the new growth come back smaller. It stunts the flowers to with the weed most likely :) going to be much less handsy in the future. They did bush up nicely but they have to give me some fat buds to make it worth the hassle. I think the 4 shorter ones will do ok, the wedding cake stretched a lot, over the next few days I’m going to start working with it, bending it for better light. It’s the furthest behind, the rest stopped stretching and help their form. Wc got so tall I had to stop training and just shoved it in a corner
So are you saying you won’t trim them at all or as much next time?

Well it depends, i will trim the mothers a lot and I cut small under branches for clones or to put more soil in the flower tent some times.
But my first run I used lst the whole time, bending new growth every day and pruning off the sun leaves to make it have smaller leaves and bushier growth. bonsai

It slowed them down a lot, so if I need to I can use it on purpose, but I want faster turnover, and I’m seeing less is more.
That’s my test with the herer
I still pick off the tiny clumps of mini buds deep where I think mold or no air flow happens but when I left the herer alone I didn’t really need to, because I didn’t stimulate the dense bushy smaller leaf growth. I only mess with leaves that are mashed into each other.

the young herer has lower branches growing into the big sun leaves, I just moved the leaf aside and put the branch up by the palm of the leaf. The big herer I cut the first 6 big leaves For the Same effect, but this is no cutting, and it still has those huge fan leaves powering it!!
each plant is different I’m sure. Clones especially monster style probably HAVE to.
I had to with the romie because I messed with it a lot and it’s super bushy and a clone lol. I picked of a bunch of tiny leaves in the armpits lol. My big JH has had no additional lst in the last 5 weeks or so, I set it free a week ago. I didn’t have to clean it up at all. It did it all for me, dropping the leaves as I panicked lol.
I’m also trying for more compact growth for maximum variety. The more I lst the more room it takes, I want 1 square foot plants.
So are you saying you won’t trim them at all or as much next time?
