Is there a window that’s taking in heat from the sun is so put up a awning over window that could remove some of the radiant heat he’ll even shad the hole side of the house with shade cloth , I did this at out lounge room windows It reduced the heat by 5 to 7 deg c depending on wind direction . If it was only that easy.. But what if i built a room that was only 4x4.. It would be the same problem so the only way this is gonna work for me is putting the humidifier in the tent an running it when the lights are on.. Theres just no way i can raise the humidity in this room to a needed 60-70% even with the biggest humidifier i can buy its still not gonna work, the house is always open windows ect ect or the A/C going draining the humidity and maintaining whatever level mother nature has chosen.

Its easier in winter cause the house is sealed up the only contender for dry air at that point is the heater which is easier to control i can block off this room ect ect..

But yeah raising the humidity in the room the tent sits in just not gonna work, thats why we have tents tho.. Contained environment?

I have brand new Triple pane argon gas filled windows these fuckers are the best windows money can buy.. trust me it cost a fortune! :P

I just don't see the harm in running the humidifier in the tent is all. Its still running the exhaust and theres 3 fans pushing air around so theres no still air.

Everywhere i look online its rec to put a small one in the grow tent to raise humidity..

Yeah I hear ya bit the issue is if it's spraying on the plants it can cause conditions favorable to mold. It also doesn't reach the plants and is just sucked out.

The plan is to only keep it in the tent for veg phase for flower i'll remove it and let the humidity be whatever or raise it with a large humidfier in winter :D

Well after much consideration i ditched the humidifier and put the passive air back on, Im not gonna risk Mold and shit its just not worth it.. The humidity was still a lil in flux dropping to 50% or less with the A/C running so screw it lol I'll invest in a big ass whole house humidifier this winter... Till then i guess 40-50% is gonna have to be it.

I think you made the right choice. I'm all about VPD absolutely it's beneficial. But sometimes it's just not doable and you will drive yourself nuts trying every grow hack possible sometimes its just better to accept this is how it will be until I can make the needed adjustment.

Pretty much.. leaves are taco'ing a bit on 1 of the plants the grapefruit but the rest seem ok.. so fuck it, it is what it is.. atm i need healthy plants so i can clone the living shit out of them lol.

Edit:

I did go ahead and turn both the lights up to 100% and raised them up about 2 feet above the plants as well.. Might as well get em going.

You will be alright Dabs as my room is very dry most of the year. Just don’t let the vdp chart people in here. The plants will adjust to what ever happens with the humidity. My room can get as low as 10%.

Lol I'm a VPD person . Eeesh 10%

Plants will grow in many conditions. But they do grow faster, healthier and can be pushed harder in an ideal environment. That doesn't mean they won't grow outside of those parameters.

This is why everyone argues over it. Can it be done... Absolutely

Lights are over 2 feet from the top of the biggest plant, almost 2 1/2 feet from the smallest plant.. If thats too close lemmie know.

edit: also checked lux, Left side is 44k right side is 55k weird there both same height.. fuckin chinese lights for ya.
