Would be cool if could send some seeds out to some fellow canadians, and see others try them. I know it's a bit sketchy even though it's totally legal now. 🤣

That's one of the things that has surprised me most since coming up here. Where I was in the states, weed was essentially currency. Here, if you offer a nug as a tip for a pizza, people look at you like you just kidnapped their grandmother.

In some major cities along the eastern seaboard. Done it essentially from Philly to Richmond.
I suppose anyone I have known with that much excess bud was also, you know, keeping a lower profile than that.

Been bartering weed for labor out here since my first grow. isnt that how you get the lawn cut and repairs done to the house and car?

Im thinking of pressing hash coins like Ricky in trailer park boys. Lol
Lol I mostly do it myself or I pay someone with cash I guess. Think I'll stick to that tbh...but learned something new!

@BigCube awesome diaries my man. Great motivation to run a clean tent and reap the benefits. Have a couple questions for ya. When watering in the flower stage daily with runoff, are you feeding nutes with all those waterings? How old are your clones coming out of veg into the flower tent?

Great read thanks.

Yes, full nutrients. I push my plants a little hard personally. I tend to push the ppm up as high as I can in flower. So I check the ppm of my runoff every now and then, if it's too high I feed it just water or a weak nutrient mix to get the ppm back down.

Normally I start my plants at least a month in advance. So they are pot bound and long ready to go.

Thanks, my kingbrites just came in. Suffered a minimal $31 customs charge. Now waiting on my seed orders to arrive. Funny how the China stuff got here before my Canadian orders lol. Gonna try and run and nice tight ship like your grows. Change of clothes, keep it clean and may just ease off the gas pedal(nutes) abit unlike you. Thanks for the detailed grow log as it helps us noobs out.

Looking great today. Buds sagging on the RBR. I think I will start flushing soon.
Tent smells excellent, mixture of blueberry and jah. Lol.

Next go round will be some new genetics for me.

The 1 240w kingbrite quantum board is hammering it. The red supplemental is advertised 36w, but is actually about 22w.

I've culled the seedlings down to 2 each, the gelato x "3 time cup winner" master kush on the left. I'm calling it GM for now. And applejack on the right.

Also on a whim i bout these seeds out of wish. It was like 4$ for a little bag. It had pictures of weed plants and said "medical plant seeds". Knowing if they are in fact cannabis, they are of the hempen variety. So some time I will probably check them out.

They look shitty, half are broken, and most are almost grey in color. So most likely old too. But some also look viable. So it should be fun to find out if they do anything.

So I'm thinking of giving this a shot:

The idea is, I have the sensor in a 3x3x6 tent packed with fresh cut flowers. Of course the tent will have a fan blowing the air around in there. The exhaust fan will be controlled by the humidistat, so that it only turns on when the RH > X. So say X is 61. The exhaust fan will only come on once the tent goes above 61% RH. Exhaust the tent and then shut the fan off once the rh drops.

So in theory, I can just let it sit there on it's own until the exhaust fan stops coming on. Or the display holds stable at the rh you set.

Any thoughts? Any reason why this wouldn't be the optimal drying method? Any ideas on the target RH you would set it at? I'm thinking 60% myself. But it also does points so there is that.

Pretty sure you will have to experiment and dial in. Remember that there is always a delay in activation. Like if set at 60% it may rise to 65% before the machine kicks on.

But doesnt the dehumidifier have its own humistat?

I can set the dwell (area between target rh and the on state as well as how for below the target rh before it turns off.

I won't be running a dehumidifier, just a 4" 200 cfm duct fan and filter. Exhausting the humid air from the tent.

What I do it set the dehumidifier to continuous and set the deadband to come on at 3% above my setpoint. This is adjustable and has a 3 min cycle safety for the compressors built in. It will shut off once it hits you target setpoint. Likewise I have a humidifier set to come on at 3% below my setpoint and will humidify until it hits target. All of these setpoint are programmable so you can dial it in to account for any lag time. But sensor placement is key
