Does any one know what stage i want to be turning the switch on for the uv's creeds / they all come on together when I flick a switch.

ok so lets say you are doing a 12/12 cycle.
you turn on the uv lights for 6 hours total per day. you turn it on 3 hrs after the light cycle is on, and turn it off 3 hrs before the dark cycle. sorry if i didnt explain myself properly

Imo the UV created will be UVA and can be used full cycle. The IR I can't say but I feel like @basscaptain answer makes sense morning and evening although I have never tried. I would do some research on the Emmerson effect of you want to learn more on the IR.

last 3 weeks of flowering is when the uv is needed
THANKS,

I did get you the first-time :)
Unjust wondered why the 3 hours twice a day at them times,
Sound alot of work flicking them on and off. I onder if leaving of 12 hours in flower would cause problems?
I never seen any but only 1 run of had

Sound easier to rewire the long and also the uv and creed to a timer switch

i'm not saying turn it on and off for 3 hrs. lol, i guess i'm really bad at explainin myself
so lets say your light on is at 9 am, you turn your uv on at 12pm and then turn it off at 6 pm. you only need 100 par of uva+uvb. but i wouldn't worry about it that much since most of the UV diodes in led isn't even useful in my opinion. because the ones that does works, cost way tooooo much and has a really short lifespan

Imo it depends on the UV source and intensity. With UVA like you have they should be fine running the while time. LED diodes and especially the ones in these fixtures have a fairly insignificant amount of UVA and I would say virtually no UVB. If using UVB depending on intensity short periods of exposure and some studies show the last few weeks of flower to be most beneficial.

AGREED, and if UV is such a big thing for you, i would just use a T5 separately to supplement the lights but make sure you make a reflector to go with it

Looks like I need to not more reading lol,

Ok thanks mate

I like the idea leaving on all day rather than on and off like lilnew said,
I'll just have to try a few different ways see what happens init, but most likely i will dodge the on off I method unless i get great results from 1 test I'll try doing

and btw, if you do go down the route of uv t5s. the reflector must be electricity conductible. for example aluminum foil, because if you used something that has plastic coating or whatnot the uv wont be reflected. it will just be absorbed into the reflector
