Yes I know it is for sure also. What I did was crazy overboard. On purpose. To me, rather too much (available) than too little. I did an sf4000 and sf2000 in EACH 4x4 space. Pretty much wall to wall leds. Now, you NEED to have dimmable lights to do this or you will seriously fry your plants. Although they were dimmable, I had the older model where I had to open it up and adjust it constantly which was a HUGE pita. Also the heat generated at the top of the tent was SO overwhelming, I had to use 2 dedicated 8 inch hurricanes to blow the top and a dedicated 8 inch AC infinity in EACH 4x4 to suck the air out into the duct that leads outside. This screwed my CO2 circulation so I installed a heavy BTU split A/C and had to bump it to 2 degrees cooler than I wanted to balance the heat output. It is very difficult to get a good balance of everything that you need for the perfect setup. All I know is cutting corners or buying 'cheaper' products end up in more lost money and creating a whole slew of new problems. Since changing out my lights, I now have MORE par, less light heat, don't need a constant heat exchanger, not going through tons of 20lb tanks of CO2, and didn't need to have my AC pumping 24/7. Not saying SF is bad, it cuts corners (in order to cost less) that may create new problems. They fixed the dimmer issue, now fix the heat problem.

Back in the day we used light meters for cameras. We didn't know anything about par. But what we did know was that getting good numbers was easier with metal halides but it didn't matter because they didn't have enough red to flower well. You could accept way lower lumen output in flower with sodium bulbs because the plants used the light so much better so we used both! Today we get the best of both worlds and we are blessed ❤🌱❤

And I too underestimated the output and almost completely fried 4 plants I transplanted from a much weaker light 2 weeks ago and they're still recovering.... thanks to great advice I got here at the farm! 👍

I don't have to compete with "the big guys". All I have to do is keep 14 guys' hands on the keyboard 9 hours a day. 20+ years in business. Not a mower in sight.

I'm suggesting, that if you don't know the fundamentals about the equipment that your using, when it can "cause" a fire, PERIOD. FULL STOP. Doing an "array" of anything is inherently dangerous, regardless, if it's HPS, or LED, or whatever. You probably shouldn't be growing cannabis on any wide scale that way, if you don't have a clue about it.

The products here are UL listed, it's met all the criteria from an established, publicly accredited certification. People probably shouldn't screw with things like electrical sockets, or electrical panels when there clueless about the fundamentals, or implications of it. Being an idiot, is not a companies fault.

BAD THINGS CAN AND DO HAPPEN. You cannot "run" as many LED's as you like without the proper setup. Nor can you protect morons from idiocy.

6 amp devices, running on a string of "safety breakers" pluged into a wall with 20 or 30 amp breaker, and having 4 or 5 of these dasiy chained is simply a recipe for disaster. And people who buy "cheap" lights do these sort of moronic things.

No they are not ul listed and the lights that caused fires were at fault. They had issues from the factory.

What are you defending so hard? I could have taken a free light but i dont want to advocate their company for all the reasons stated.

I'm not defending them so hard, I really don't care. But I did look it up, and they say there UL listed. In all honesty, I don't believe they could be sold in the US without that. I'm saying it, because it needs to be said, that people make idiot mistakes with electric, then try to assign blame elsewhere.

Why are people hating on them so hard? I the results speak for themselves, I don't see anything inherently bad about these lights. They certainly not the "best choice" award, but they do get the job done. For that, I give them a thumbs up.

For the little guy who's starting out, these might be some of the only things they can afford. What's wrong with that?

And no one said the lights were bad. Its the company we dont trust. If they last the 5-10 years a lamp like this should then they were fine. Lol.

Infact, I think these drivers are more efficient than going the other way, (small multiple drivers) but they certainly do come with some inherent risk. Overall, it's my choice, because I want the added efficiency, I know enough not to be irresponsible with devices and make a hazard from them.

For some, the others are probably the best solution. I've got several units like that too. I've been doing LED for over 10 years now, so I can post pictures of ton's of these lights, I've used.

Half of me is Native American. My mother broke tradition. I haven't seen any "micro aggressions" whatever the fuck those really are, or racism, etc BS either. I'm not taking a deeper dive into that subject either. This isnt the place. I agree with you. If a country is screwing something up then it's not racist to point out that their culture prioritizes profit over everything. Hilarious part? They are a socialist/communist country roflmao. Anyway about these lights? Nah. I'm going a different way.

10 years? Dude. The issues the community has helped you out with off the top of my head:

Identifying a male plant.
Being advised to keep a tornado off of your plants.
Identifying bugs in your plants.

Sorry but these are not the types of things a 10 year grower does.

Awwww sorry to bruise your delicate sensibilities bud. But I don't see you speaking to anything I said. Just a few names and some pics. Never said anything about your grows being terrible. Just pointing out your obvious bullshit. Nice plants pics btw. They look a lot different than the stretchy ones you showed us a couple months ago with 6 to 8 inch internode spacing that were falling over. Regression must be tough to deal with.
