That is a nice looking bud. I used 3 general hydroponics the first time. Just their beginner line. Plus royal gold.

then the second grow (now) I got 5 more bottles for a total of 9 😳. Not sure if it’s worth it...

Nope GH puts out a quality product :)

Looks like it could be root problems / PH issues from over feed and water.

This is what I would say. If you're overwatering, and your roots are suffering from that, you can throw all the nutrients at them you want, and they will still be deficient. They can't take the nutes, because the roots are rotten. Chances are, if you test your runoff, the EC will be super high, and the ph super low. I would let them dry out, almost to the point of wilting dried out. Then feed with your nutrients till you get runoff. Push the nutrients through and flush out the old salts that are accumulated in the pots. Then only water when they are dry. They will turn around. Watering is so important.

I can start testing runoff tomorrow since theyre dry and needing a watering. I was going to give them fertilizer tomorrow too though.... so I just over water them until a liter pours out the bottom... then test that liter that pours out?

Correct. :)

Should I water with plain water or my fertilized stuff? I usually do a gallon. Should I do 1.5 gallons this time? Seems like I’ll be severely overwatering them.

Use what you usually feed it. when you feed a gallon how much runoff is there? only need a few cups worth out the bottom. Measure both, you want the difference less than 300 ppm in my opinion but I grow in coco.

So for instance, recently I had a situation with a +700 ppm runoff. So then I flush with PH correct plain water until the runoff is the number I want. Next watering gets the correct feed and check again in a week.

I’ve never had it come out the bottom. I’ve had some not absorb super quick and roll out the sides but I’ve never even came close to overwatering to the point where they’re soggy and dripping wet. I don’t even know if my gallon even really gets the bottom 1” of soil really wet. Guess I’ll see today. Will do tons of testing.

Don't drown them...10% runoff is fine. for 1 us gallon that's 1.6 cups not a liter

Don’t mean to be a smart ass but what’s the difference?? If 1 cup comes out the bottom or 1000L isn’t the soil at 100% absolute maximum saturation/drowning point if even a cup comes out? That’s what I’m scared of.

wouldn’t this be the same as submerging them into a bathtub so they could absorb as much as possible into the soil basically??

Kinda nervous here. And overthinking it.

Is “overwatering” considered when you water them too often? Or is it when you give them too much water at once?

Yes I think frequency is the bigger problem more than how much. You will get a good test of your soil and pot drainage this way also. If your soil is not too compact and the pots drain well, quantity of water should never be an issue in my experience.

If you have too much runoff it might throw off the true numbers you are looking to test, you're not flushing it yet. You don't want to put so much that you are getting exactly what you put in. You are trying to "push" out the water trapped in the pot right now so you can test it and determine what environment the roots are in. Because its always different than what we put in the pot.

lots of exposed roots: I must pour too hard. is this bad. should I bury them?

dead aphids. I swear I saw one in the fetal position:

this is the runoff from plant 1:

the girls:

ph of my water going in, after nutrients:

ph of the runoff of plant 1:

more of my weird ass super long stemmed fan leaves:

Watered my plants on this lid until I got runoff, then drained into a cup and cleaned it. I cleaned the lid off before starting.

PPM of plant 2s runoff:

ppm of my plain tap water thats been sitting for a few days:

ppm of the water after nutrients are added:

ph of the water after nutrients are added:

the nutrients I fed them. week 4. full strength.

ph of plant 2 runoff water:

ppm of fertilized water the plants get... not sure why the other one was 650ppm.

ph of my tap water:

wow. I dont know why that post is so mangled. fuck sakes. im not re doing it.

ppm of plain tap water is 112 and ph is 6.75

ppm of fertilized water is 650-800 and ph is 6.5 to 6.8

ppm of runoff water plant 1 is 760 and ph is 6.01. I had to pour two gallons through my 5 gallon pot to get it to dribble.... those 2 plants got a LOT of food and water. full strength nutes.

ppm of run off water plant 2 is 760 and ph is 6.09

plant 3,4,5,6 all just got 1 gallon and were not tested.

Im no expert but I think those numbers look great! Again, im a coco guy but I started in soil and I would be happy with that result.

Flip 'em baby ❤🌱

I used flora bloom, micro and gro on my first grow and had amazing results following schedule. Full strength 1 gallon water every 3-4 days. Plants turned out amazing. Small clawing and nitrogen burn

I then got the advanced nutrients for my second grow. Added 5 more bottles and seemed to have all sorts of problems.... or so I was told here. I guess we’ll see when the bud is done.

I think my shitty training and shocking/defoliation the plants and hurting them when flipping to flower with no recovery time will hurt my yields more than anything.

also might try vegging for only one month next time. Glad to hear my numbers are good🤜🤛
