They usually correct themselves by the next node, (this was 3 branches from 1 node tho) if the vt I watched is correct, the name has gone from mind lol. But saying this, the extra cotyledon is stored energy for the little lady to use as she pleases, I'm expecting greatness from her nowView attachment 1051036

9 years and change. Before that Detroit.Chicago is a wonderful place. How long have you been there?
Ooo that sounds very good. My wife is more the gourmand tbh but restaurant experiences at that level are just magical when they're good. Two of the best pizza cities in the country. Chicago has world-class food on all fronts. I was lucky enough to eat at Grace right after it opened, blew my entire mind.

My favorite pizza in the world is detroit style with the little pepperonis curling up and pooling grease, but the next is actually quad cities style from downstate. It has a malty crust and it's delicious.
Haha I used to love around the corner from schwa. Those dudes have actually calmed down some but hell yeah they'd still love an ounce. The days of bringing some coke and a bottle of bourbon are probably gone though.Yesssssss! Detroit style pizza is comfort food for me. I miss Chicago dogs, Gino's East, and beef on weck like crazy.
Grace was amazing, but tbh I'd recommend Schwa more for this crowd. They'd be overjoyed to have someone walk in with an oz for the kitchen. Kuma's corner would likely be in the same boat.
That sounds lovelyOne of my best memories from a solo road trip city hopping around the country was the pit stop in Chi town.
Food, beer, music, art, people...
I'm crazy about The Chicago Underground (Tortoise, John McEntire, Jeff Parker, Jim O'Rourke, etc.) and, though I didn't get to see any of them play on their home turf, I did see Sigur Rós perform in the Auditorium Theatre while on a mushrooms... magical experience to say the least.
Make a point to catch anything I'm remotely interested in when they're performing there.
And, yeah, the food scene is definitely something special. Wife and I are suckers for the Rick Bayless spots.. Topolobambo is![]()

Kuma's is excellent and YES to chicago style dogs, which are the best way to have a hot dog. Although Iceland is close.
Fun story: there is a little hot dog stand in Reykjavik that is well known. They do their hot dogs by putting the "toppings" (onions both crispy and raw) on the bun and then the dog (which is astonishingly good because people there try really hard at what they do). When I explained to the guy making my dog that I admired how smart it was to put the toppings on first, he looked at me like I was the dumbest man in the world and explained they do it that way because otherwise the toppings fall off.
Which....yeah. fair point.![]()

Why are they toppings and not bottomings?Haha I used to love around the corner from schwa. Those dudes have actually calmed down some but hell yeah they'd still love an ounce. The days of bringing some coke and a bottle of bourbon are probably gone though.

Day late and a dollar short again, Ame.But then they're not toppings!! I guess they're bottomings? If there's not a hot dog stand called Power Bottomings Weiners and Buns outside a gay bar somewhere, someone needs to make that happen.
