AFAIK they both contain the same micros and macros. The difference is the amount of buffering agent they put in them. You use a hardwater variety in RO and you'll likely have to way overcompensate on pH up as a result.
So then as long as I pH my water, it doesn't matter which one I use.

I'm going to try mixing my own soon, I think this from opensalts.wikidot.com looks good and doesn't need a big outlay try mixing say 10L of each stock solution to get going, then it's just mix and use as I usually would.

Lynette Morgan All Purpose
Lynette Morgan all-purpose solution

Stock Solution A (50 liters)

Calcium nitrate 4,010 g

Potassium nitrate 800 g

Iron chelate (10%) 179 g

Stock Solution B (50 liters)

Potassium nitrate 800 g

Monopotassium phosphate 1,090 g

Magnesium sulphate 2,132 g

Manganese sulphate 41 g

Boric acid 19.5 g

Zinc sulphate 5.5 g

Copper sulphate 1.5 g

Sodium molybdate 0.5 g

This formulation would give the following ppm of each element at a 1:100 dilution rate:

Nitrogen=166 ppm

Phosphorus=46 ppm

Potassium=179 ppm

Magnesium=42 ppm

Calcium=160 ppm

Sulphur=55 ppm

Iron=3.5 ppm

Manganese=2 ppm

Zinc=0.25 ppm

Boron=0.70 ppm

Copper=0.07 ppm

Molybdate=0.05 ppm

But I'll probs just a micro mix and then the other base stuff.
If you're getting cheap cal nitrate etc this could also be a good option for you @Frankster

How do you suppose you're going to measure 0.05ppm of something. That would be 0.00005g of it per kg of everything else.

Oh nevermind, that's perfect. A grain of salt is "approximately 0.00005850 grams".

0.5g will be 0.05g its in g too. But that should come in the micro mix premixed anyway. Its not the only recipe I've got just some I'm looking at
Oh I missed the part where you said " This formulation would give the following ppm of each element at a 1:100 dilution rate: "
I thought you just switched units half way through for some reason.

Been doing my homework 😉 I'm eating through nutes at the moment so I'll be mixing in bulk anyway I ghink, found some nice 2kg bags of salts so I'm gonna get a bag at a time, a good micro mix and kick the canna liquid in the teeth ££££ down the drain. But that's another thread 😂

How bulk? If you had 10 tonnes of stuff, 0.05ppm would be 0.5g.
I'd go based on parts. Start with one part of your smallest unit. Scale from there. I've done quite a bit of research into making my own salts, so I get the "how tf do you measure THAT" thing haha. It's a whole other world. That's why like Fudge said, you buy micros as a "whole package." You'd have to mix ten lifetimes to hit the appropriate volumes otherwise.

Definitely man. I was on Canna for a looong time too. They sure like the $$$, and the plants sure like what the $$$ fed em, but my wallet was skinny. Running two part salts now, and will be for the foreseeable future.

I'll leave that the the experts and I'll keep it simple by just buying it from them.

I'm thinking of being cheeky and start selling a pre mix in the UK. I have a friend has offered to go in with me, and there is NOTHING like it over here, even hydrocrop 2 part is in 2kg bags designed for weed so still has a premium on it.
I think there's a margin between ag mixes and selling it to growers in less than 1tonne pallets which is all I could find, I've even gut a company willing to mix and supply it in bulk. I just need to look into the how's and red tape etc see if it's viable. I know there's a market for it.

Oh absolutely. When one realizes what these companies mark-ups are, it's fucking insane. There's money to be had with the right branding, marketing, and product. IDK what y'all have in terms of environmental laws on the other side of the pond, but storing bulk will likely be your biggest hurdle. Here, the EPA would be all over anyone with a warehouse full of chemicals just like they are on top of the little mom and pop mechanic shop down the street.

I can attest to the the price tag for cannabis marketed salts. I paid $150 for 25lb part A and $170 for 25lb part B of front row ag. Their brochure/feed schedule has cannabis silhouettes on it. Not subtle at all. Same volume of megacrop would've cost 1/3, but I was between a rock and hard place at that point due to poor planning.

Don't get me wrong, it's good shit. However, it's expensive good shit.

Back to the point. Buy bulk of AG grade nutes, break em down to consumer volumes, tack 100% markup on the volume, and make $$$$$$

I guarantee , there will be 20 other people thinking the same idea, I'm just hoping to get a piece of the pie early before everyone clicks on. I don't want to be rich, would be nice to be on the forefront of it when ghings hopefully become legal here. I'll hit you up for ur salt recipe one day if that's OK mate.. Anyway 5am here so I'm off. Night guys

I've not mixed any in seven or eight years, recipe is long gone man. But what you lined out looks solid. Having a vendor mix it would be ideal, although adds to overhead. Getting rich on it? Nah, ain't gonna happen. Positioning yourself for future ventures? Totally viable. Have a good one, catch some good Zzzz's!
