I’m starting to think we have a demented moderator who might need deprogramming.......... too many people think co2 is the end-all of growing, and I think I’ve shown otherwise. If I had a large operation with 100’s of plants, it would be a totally different story. So let’s be clear- with a smaller grow, with negative room pressure and good air flow, the benefits probably don’t outweigh the costs and hassles involved.

Nah I just like stirring the pot sometimes but in a more humorous manner. Honestly co2 is overhyped and I'll be the first to admit it. Yeah the benefits can be significant but you also need the environment to go with that. Cost vs gain wise.... thats a toss up. And it really changes the needs of the plants and enviroment.

Much like I tease MiMed about switching to LED. 😁😁😁 what can I say.... can't always be an 😇 as much as I know you all think am..... lmao or maybe not.

Day 27....... I also think the rise of humidity in the room has helped things progress. As the plants move further along and get larger, they are transpiring more which keeps the humidity at a higher average point.

I think if you has some extra CO2 in the room it would help with the humidity being up!!!!!!

Indeed. The thread got removed. Sara isn't also answering any PM's at the moment. She did however login today.

These are all not good signs.

1100 oh a little low 1500 does the trick on the west coast!

According to growers i have known a long time and respect 1500 reduces quality. There is a quality/ yield trade off.

I have studied that subject and I have information that 1500 is ideal. Anything over that is where there is a quality/yield trade off. 1600 is actually the point of the curve turning slightly downward.

We can agree to disagree and i cant personally say anyway. But the info comes from the growers of skunk 6. They won the 1996 cup with their weed. I met them 10 years later. I have never smoked more potent smelly weed except for original 80’s skunk and African Black.

If you remember, I ordered a CO2 test kit from EBay that was so old, it didn’t register a reading when attempted twice. I got my money back. I think it was in the Orange Gasm thread.

TBH, I’m more concerned about air flow and negative room pressure. If that’s spot on, I wouldn’t be surprised if my co2 reading was at 800 or higher, since it is in the basement of my house where my propane water heater and propane HVAC (for heat) are located.

That's roughly where mine is, as best I can tell with my cheap meter. In a bedroom on the only floor of a condo, so it makes sense. Plus i have two little parrots in the same room and while they are small, they do breathe (especially when singing 😍) lol.

After spending some time in the room tonight, I decided NOT to top the plants this time. My reasons:

1. Most are short, I don't want to stunt/delay their growth (in the short term) by chopping the main stalk.

2. I can control the height with the LED's, I think that's pretty obvious. 20 inches above the canopy should do it.

3. They are only 50/50 Indica/sativa. I might have felt differently with a 80-100% sativa.

4. I have more confidence with the defoliation process and what/what not to do. I'll be leaving more leaves on this crop, concentrating on removing more inner foliage that outer. And I'll probably do more leaf removal slowly throughout the grow, instead of a major defoliation early on. And a controlled lolipopping at some point.

Pic's up in the morning at 4 weeks veg......

Both the Orange Gasm and Sweet Zombie threads now have over 39,000 views, wish I knew which was in the lead. Interesting how many views are still happening (maybe 800-1000 a month) with no posting going on......... the Gasm is a far better thread IMO.

I'm going to start adding 1ml per gallon of Silica til week 8 is done. I'll be looking for subtle plant changes the 1st few weeks.

Make no doubt about it- this grow will be all about the UV-B towards the end, I'm very excited about it- let's see what all the hoopla is about.

I grew up in a Philadelphia suburb........ for you people in that area:
