I would not go crazy over trying to correct every little imperfection in the group shot. There's only so far you're going to get without literally staging lights specifically for your photos. But that's a whole other subject, which I am more than happy to get into 😀

Haha, maybe some day I'll take you up on that. It's definitely a science I've wanted to learn more about for years as I think with photos of my paintings, the quality of them has always come down to inappropriate lighting. In order to stage lights, it takes a ton of equipment though, then of course one has to understand all the nuances that come with that equipment.

It's all about the light! I've seen some decent results with a consumer grade DSLR, and a couple of off- camera strobes. Then again, window light can do wonders at the low low price of free

For today's change out I dropped base nutes to 65% of recommended dosage, and replaced that with 50% MOAB's recommended full strength. Today's levels:

36ml h2o2
60ml protekt
40ml pH down
27.3g part A
25.74g part B
7.8g MOAB
86ml Hygrozyme
15ml pH down

Final PPM: 744 (1.5 EC)
Final pH: 5.5

We'll see how they like the transition. Today is 43 days since flip, and they're stacking trichomes like crazy. By far the frostiest crop I've ever had. Making it hard to argue against continuing deeper into the world of hydro, that's for sure. My only thing is with some big changes planned for the next six months, I don't want to run a setup like this until those changes pull through. Moving something like this would be damn near impossible once it's established like this.

So, next run will be a toss-up between DTW coco or Rockwool slabs. Either way it's almost time to pop some beans to get a mom or two ready for clones and next round. Planning to hit the ground running on that one.

haha there's a few of em that are over achievers. A lot of em are getting to the point of "fuck this, I'm gonna lay down" and then there's those biguns standing tall and proud. Really starting to wish I'd done two layers of screen. Can't string a damn thing up with how things are configured now.
how'd you do the first one? Did you crawl under it?

Yeah, felt like I was doing some geriatric acrobatics under there. Not the most enjoyable or convenient method, especially since there's only one real access point to the tent. The two other doors are obstructed by a desk and a wall. That's why the back of the screen is so unruly too, I simply couldn't get all the way back there.

I can imagine. Gotta get one of these for the next run:

@Aqua Man @Dirtbag thought I'd get your guys input. I've decided I'll be running coco next round, four plants, planning on doing rapid iteration feed cycles with as minimal run-off as possible (less than 10%). That being said, what's your guys preference between 1 gallon or 3 gallon fabric pots.

Plan on vegging four to six weeks, probably going to mainline or just top multiple times since a scrog is out of the question for next run in case I end up buying property and needing to move.

What are your guys thoughts? Will be using the same lights, tent, and nutrients. Dropped seeds in shot glasses yesterday and they're now in rapid rooters so they'll be nearly ready for show time by the time I harvest this run. Just want to plan accordingly so they move from solo cups to final homes instead of trying to rip a fabric pot off a rootball to put them into a bigger final home.

With a Veg that long Id use a 2 or 3 gal fabric pot personally. With a 1 gal id keep veg time under 4 weeks. It just gives you a bit of insurance should your res run dry or pump fail, the huge plants wont suck the tiny pot dry in a blink.

100% 4-6 week veg gonna grow some decent sized plants.

That's what I was thinking. I used to run in 1 gallon fabric pots and even running to 15% runoff three times a day, missing more than half a day was a surefire way for them to be bone dry.
100% 4-6 week veg gonna grow some decent sized plants.
That's what I'm hoping. I'm determined to hit a 2# harvest, dammit! This run is gonna be shy of that, so third time's a charm.

Appreciate the input gentlemen!

The girls are gettin thic. Layin down on the job and shit. Gotta do something about that. Frost is coming in nice, this run there's a florally sweet dominant smell with a funky cheese undertone to it at this point. They're really expressing themselves quite admirably, despite the bleaching and foxtails.

Now at 75% max strength of MOAB, base nutrients down to 55% where we were a couple weeks ago. Saturday will bump MOAB to 100%, and base nutes to 50% and run like that for two weeks. Then, drop the MOAB entirely and finish these girls out at around week 10 or 11, depending how they're looking.

Trying to get better at those, and I'm getting determined to really capture the trichomes. Keep side eyeing DSLRs lol
Oh for sure. if you do end up dropping some coin on a camera, spend less on the body and save your money for a good lens or 2. Good glass beats a good sensor any day of the week.

Just a quick one for today. MOAB is now at 100% and base nutes at 50%. Will run at this level for the next week, then cut everything by 25% each res change out the following week. Planning on a one week flush with pH'ed water for week 10 and will chop at that point as I predict the trichomes will be mature and I'll have extracted all these girls can give by then. Looks like they're starting to fade a bit anyways, so they know their time is coming near.

I also made up a batch of infused coconut oil last night. Overall threw ~30g decarboxylated sugar leaf, larf, and flower in with a heaping cup of coconut oil and let it sit on low heat for a few hours. Came out with a nice pistachio ice cream color, and the ol lady said it has the distinct earthy flavor -- strong enough to make her gag lol. Hoping it'll help my buddy with his RA and OA. Think I'm going to dig into doing more cooking with this stuff, save some people a fortune on the dispensary products when it costs me almost nothing to produce.
