The resting methods used today didn't exist in the 70s. Also the samples tested at mississippi were mostly leaf- not the best bud. Yes there was lots of crappy weed in the 70s, but the best weed was every bit as strong as today.the best sativas were tested at 3-7% thc in the 70’s. And you should read a lot more before making such blanket statements. Tons of cannabis research being done today. Here and all over the world. Especially about cannabanoids, terpenes and their medical effects on our bodies. The weed specific product sellers muck up the real info to profit immediately but education marches forward. You are aware there is a working cannabis lab in the university of utah? They study and test every aspect of the plants and new apogee light meters are now being produced to meter wider par range because of the testing. Just so the professor can meter the proper light frequencies that are wider than previously thought.
When i bring up rosenthal or others like him its because the current debate on a thread was likely answered 40 years ago. ;-)
I logged back in lol. 60-6555%D
Similar diods as the Spider Farmer. - Made by Samsung. Nice lights, very $$$$hlg is assembled here and soon to be manufactured here as well i read.
Wasn't that the point? This thread has officially gone off the rails:)
I'm gonna say that depends on use... it will decline over time... I would say reasonably 5 yrs. But can probably stretch that to 10 understanding that you will be losing some of the light produced the longer it goes. How long do people expect an led grow light to last? Just curious what people think. Seems like a lot of unrealistic expectation if you listen to the industry.

I’m over 8000hrs on the spiderfarmers.A Cree 3590 with a proper heat sink would have no problem hitting 5 years regardless of how hard you pushed it but many of these lights I see are probably 18 months tops.

You can tell the power by the sink. They are nice but not enough power for meLike the ones cooled with a cookie sheet?
If I was building a light in 2021 I would be looking at the 3590 price points. They are 2 times cheaper than 3 years ago and still better light than anything Samsung makes or any COB IMO
