You can tell the power by the sink. They are nice but not enough power for me
they are purposely under powered for price. Likely reverse engineered from the cheap heat sink. Lol

All those boards have similar heat sinks, no?they are purposely under powered for price. Likely reverse engineered from the cheap heat sink. Lol

Did he write in his book he was a sellout snitch?it wasnt at mississippi. Thats where skunkman sam was.
Its all in his book. And well accounted.
Oh I can absolutely agree with that.A Cree 3590 with a proper heat sink would have no problem hitting 5 years regardless of how hard you pushed it but many of these lights I see are probably 18 months tops.
I'm gonna say that depends on use... it will decline over time... I would say reasonably 5 yrs. But can probably stretch that to 10 understanding that you will be losing some of the light produced the longer it goes.

Does hlg put lenses on every diode.
With Lenses on diodes do last longer? Or do i need a study to prove this...lol
What kind of lenses are you talking about? Cree and Osram and probably others use silcone domes for lenses on their higher powered diodes.
I was looking to purchase an led. You could select if you wanted lenses. I thought it was on the hlg website like. Or. Years ago. That you could have them install lenses...im not familiar with leds so i cant give an answer on what kind.
Cree's they're the shit.... They look the part and are very promising for the future....like to see a 200watt version. Thought they were supposed to come out with one?
Just went on their site im not seeing anything about lenses..has ti be a different company..lol my memory isnt the greatest!
It was a extra charge like 80$ for them to put lenses on thr diodes. They claimed longer kife with them. Wether thats a fact remains unclear to me. Wouldnt they get hotter? HIDs the hotter they get they better they run?do you maybe mean reflectors for cobs?

They were dome shaped i remember that. They did kind of resemble silicone a little too..
Nextgen led website. Not promoting them now...lolI dont know man.
Actually Kingbrite is now offering the 15 mm heatsink on some of the newer models .... its not across the whole product line though. They are also still selling some with 10 mm heatsinks. I was looking at them the other night, mainly to see what shipping is running now. Shipping costs have gone down some recently.No. Even the shen zen direct kingbrite has a thinner finned black sink than maiju that offeres 15 mm.
Every manufacturer saves their pennies differently.
OK - I'll jump in - I'm in Canada, grow tents are kept no higher than 50% RH and the house they are in is set for 50% RH with a real serious dehumidifier. I've never had to nor do I use a humidifier. My 5x5 has the new G8-C3 LED and my 3x3 the old blurple G8-450 vedge/flower + UFO red light. So, yah, I'm a G8 fan but I definitely scouted out the better LEDs on the market before deciding on the C3. It's a pretty awesome unit in every way - perfect for a 5x5 without CO2. I looked at the Diablo 650, HLG, Gavita, and more...the only item I didn't take into consideration was cost. Very happy with it - on my first run, finishing off vedge right now. What humidity you led guys run your tents in flower?
Do you have a link to your light? I'm tossing around some ideas right now since I added another tent to my collection recently.OK - I'll jump in - I'm in Canada, grow tents are kept no higher than 50% RH and the house they are in is set for 50% RH with a real serious dehumidifier.
