Here’s a better pic. That last one looks green. Must be the light.The slower the dry, the better the smoke.
The key is to let the plant live as long as possible to burn up the chlorophyll. This needs air to happen.
So rather than burping a jar, I use plastic containers with a vent cut in the lid.
A bit of masking tape let’s you keep the humidity as high as possible for as long as possible without condensation (mold).
The hang dry I slow down with a garbage bag or something to keep the humidity up.
Once the sugar leaves have dried out they won’t cure further, so it’s important to never let anything get crispy.
If you do it right you will have a golden brown bud with no green left.
These buds took 4 months the get below 60% rh. The smoke is brown like a fine Cuban cigar.

This is a 16 week dry compared to a 7 week and a 5 week cure time.
