I believe you are correct sir!
I'm getting so excited I feel like kid. This stuff is starting to really look delicious! It just wants to ooze resin. Very sticky plant already as it's supposed to be. If/ when it starts to turn yellowish I'm really going to drool!
Have you smelled the leaves, or stem rub? Shes spicy and wierd!

I just spoke to my breeder. Your totally wrong if you think every Black African Magic plant looks the same with same colors and characteristics. He’s popped thousands of BAM seeds especially being an F8
It all comes down to the Lab Report COA
If the flower has Thcv 5% or higher that’s all me Marijuana Seed Connect (BAM)
If it doesn’t then you can call it whatever you want. That’s a fair deal. I’m here 8 month now selling BAM. Everyone is Happy with the rare Land Race BAM
I’ll have clones of the BAM selling soon.

Does it turn black?? Also i need to get some from you

At about 55 seconds into the video, it looks like BAM! Enjoy! 😁
I like how he’s rolling that wet gooey resonated pot up into a ball and then putting it into packages even for resale or curing I’m not sure, but I know this because I’ve done it it’s a curve like that it’s not totally dry and package it like that in hot humid weather and it’s going to do some funky stuff to it 😵‍💫

Well I had read that THCV can be as much as 80% of total THC… after searching searching searching I found this.
“Lab tests report that Doug's Varin features an average THC level of 19% and THCV levels of 15%. The combination of these two powerful cannabinoids makes this bud a truly memorable smoke. Known as one of the few hybrids containing high THCV content levels, people sometimes forget that Doug's Varin is a potent sativa.Sep 10, 2020
https://wayofleaf.com › strains › do...

only reason I was looking for this is I couldn’t find any strains higher than around 1% thcv. Durban Poison ☠️
We’ll can’t Waite to puff the BAM…

Dougs Varian review below
QUITE interesting - looks like high thcv is quite the lift past users have described::

“Loads of energy, racing thoughts, but very clear headed, without any of the mental fogging weed usually produces. If I didn't know this was weed I might have thought it was some sort of amphetamine. I was happy, excited, and felt like I wanted to go out and have an adventure. Most cannabis makes me a relaxed sort of happy, but I would describe this as manic, self-satisfied, almost smug. There was some body high, but instead of the soft fuzz I'm used to, this was almost prickly. Typical of strong sativas, there was some paranoia, but I found it very easy to dismiss because I was so clear headed. Before partaking I was very hungry because I had missed dinner. If I listened to my body I could tell I needed food, but I didn't feel hungry, and nothing I could think of eating sounded good. I knew I needed to eat something, so I fixed a snack. This food that was normally delicious actually tasted sort of bland. Eating felt like a chore. After 2 hours into the experience, my appetite was starting to come back, as was fatigue. I went to bed easily, slept fine, woke up refreshed but hungry. In conclusion, as an appetite suppressant it worked very well, but is fairly short-acting. As a high, it was pretty fun, but in no way was it chill or relaxing. It's better for talking your frient's head off or dancing rather than kicking back with a movie. If you're someone who likes very energetic, clear sativas, this is for you.”

Well damn correction this article says 20% of total cannabinoid thcv
“Despite all its qualities and the fact that in some varieties it represents up to 20% of the cannabinoids present in the plant, until recently THCV was unknown to growers, consumers and producers of seeds. However, little by little strains featuring high amounts of it have been identified, which could be great choices for both recreational users looking for an intense high and those who wish to complement their treatments with the help of cannabis.
The first tip to get your hands on a plant rich in THCV is to find an African Sativa. The analyses run to date indicate that these strains are those containing the highest levels of the cannabinoid.”

Hell, anything over 1% thcv I think would be high…Durban Poison around 1% & listed as energetic uplifting high !?!

Have a feeling it's in the genetics. Prolly wont need to lower temps to see it.
R u talking about bringing out color ?
From what I’ve recently read several factors “as u r most likely aware of” can influence coloring Cold (not much in Congo accept near far eastern edge higher altitudes), Acidic soil -yes in the Ituri Forest & many areas around, and water deprivation-yes common in certain areas around Congo… !

Break out the Acid (Sulfur) !!! Leave the H2O behind…Pump up the UVB Ahhh my poor BAM plant going to the torture chamber next late next month or hell I’ll see how it likes the cold Oct nights

I'm in week 5 of flower. Two plants look like 8 week plants. They are the long pointy buds.

One with denser rounder buds looks like it will need 10+ weeks in flower but these are guesses

hopefully no root damage, But I have slowed at 8 1/2 inches in 19 days…

SO, I guess I might have a hard time getting this tall…!!!

Logo The Real Seed CompanyThe Real Seed Company ManipuriGenetics: Pure Manipuri Ganja Plant
Latitude: 24°N
Regional Harvest: mid December to mid January
Height: 1m - 4m in natural outdoor environment
Yield: up to1kg or more of dried flowers in natural outdoor environment
Aroma: earthy, light citrus, minty when cured
Characteristics: strong 'sativa' high, smooth smoking
Traditional Purpose: ganja
Grow Type: greenhouse or outdoors

A surprisingly strong 'sativa' from the traditional ganja growing region of Imphal Valley, Manipur. Rare and little known in the West.

The Meitei people of Manipur have a long tradition of growing strong ganja, and are related to the Shan and Thai; like them the Meitei originally migrated south to their present home from Yunnan, China. Manipur is in Northeast India, on the border with Burma - ganja culture here is at the frontier of India, to the west, and Indochina to the east. The genetics of this strain may reflect this.

Manipuri ganja plants can grow up to 4 metres tall. Most are green with a light earthy citrus aroma, curing to smooth minty ganja. A minority of plants are purple; this is the prized 'chahao' type ('chahao' being the Meitei name for black rice). Fields are usually sown around June to July and harvested in December to January. Females are usually allowed to be lightly seeded. The traditional technique is to semi dry buds, then bind them tightly with cloth and leave them for one day. Once bound together like this buds are then unpackaged and left to dry in the sun, after which they are cured for a couple of months. Even after such rough treatment this Manipuri strain is surprisingly strong, as strong as good Thai or Lao ganja, and smokes very smoothly. It would be very interesting to see how these plants perform with kinder Western techniques. Little seen genetics with promising breeding potential.

So before I began this grow I stated that the bam from the 80s had gold resin all over it and that I would be looking for it as a sign of the real thing......... View attachment 1158863
That's beautiful brother! Judging by the trichomes, COULD it be ready for harvest...? 🤔 Trichomes start out clear, go milky and then turn amber/golden when it's mature, generally speaking! Although, some very Sativa plants never produce amber trichomes! Either way, it's an impressive plant with extremely FAST growth! Mine have caught up in heighth with others that have been growing for months, but not bushiness. The one in front IS female, the one in the background is being stubborn, but probably female too!

I'm going to have mine genetically tested! I will post a link to the test results when I do! Are you?
Good luck and happy growing brother! 💚

Your plants look great! Excellent job!

I don't think the gold on them is the same as amber cuz my plants have at least 3 more weeks. Mine were also pollinated so there was a delay while seeds were being made. Back on track now though.

As with all landraces, watch for hermis early in flower and on bottoms.
Especially those stubborn ones that aren't sure what sex they want to be!
