I don’t remember. It’s still opened on my phone in safari so I won’t lose it. I’m almost ready to start ordering. Almost.
Inkbirds can be programmed to help control humidity & temp by turning your exhaust on an off as needed or other devices like a dehumidifier. You can connect to your phone if not mistaken. I don’t have one. Haven’t had a need in my grow room to justify the purchase. My fans run 24/7.

I understand but I don’t need that this minute. I need medicine in an affordable way. Almost anything I grow fresh, dry and cure myself, is going to be better than what I’m buying. That was the idea behind the autos. Just to get a quick crop and then begin from seed. I want to be able to say, “yea, I did this.” So, an auto won’t do that. It could just get me what I need sooner. I am going to look into photo strains that finish quicker. I am still worried about failure though. I wouldn’t be able to handle it. How do I tell you I’m insane without telling you I’m insane? lol. I shouldn’t make light of it or joke. I don’t want to offend anyone. Of course I’m not insane. I have an illness, I joke with myself about it though.
I sprouted two photo seeds 50 days ago. They will be done in another 40 days and make 6-8oz if all goes well.

My exhaust will be going through a filter that will be necessary. If it goes off, won’t the odor permeate? I don’t know what the conditions inside will be like. It’s going to be in the basement which is dehumidified to 45% to keep our stuff dry. The temp will probably stay around 60. My intake is probably going to come from the floor above.

You’ll smell it if no exhaust is running. 60 degrees will be to cold unless you are drying.

So, that’s the same time as an auto. I could do that. But! I am still afraid of failure. From what I’m reading, it’s just easier to be successful. It would be good for me to be around flowering plants so I get an idea of how to care for them. I just wanting to do things right and learn. I thought it was a good idea. I’m not going to have bud in 90 days either way. A really good photo strain I would cure at least 90 days. So, without a stitch of equipment I’m still 6 months out. An ok auto I could do quicker and be ok with. 4 ounces would get me through 2 months and put back what I spent on the equipment. If I had four plants with 4 oz each, I could cure the rest longer and have enough to probably get me through the photo grow and cure. Close.

The room will create some heat? I can get a heater for either the inside or outside. The air coming in will be a combination of the open parts at the bottom of the tent and I’m going to put in a floor vent and take the air from the first floor of the house. Can’t use fresh outside air because it’s almost winter in NY. If this won’t work I’m not dead in the water. I’m just taking a room I haven’t been given the ok for. lol.

Shiskaberry by Barney's Farm is one of the fastest finishers I've ever grown. I believe you can find Shiskaberry in Oaseeds bulk seed selection ... at about a $1.00 a seed right now. Sugar Black Rose is another quick finisher that I've grown. Both are photos and both should be all done in less than 60 days from switching to 12/12 ... the Shiskaberry is closer to 50 days. Add 30-45 days of veg to that and you'll get a good idea how long it would take from seed to harvest. 80-100 days isn't too much different than some of these autos. I'm routinely pulling 4-6 oz per indoor plant using the ROI.

The temp in the tent should be between 72 - 78 ideal. You can go to about 82 before you need to worry about getting the heat down.

I have not read through all the posts ... If this light has already been mentioned, it's received a second endorsement:

Bang for buck it's very enticing. I don't own it and have not used it ... but I am considering it as an upgrade to my quantum boards.

I have 2 flower tents. Both are 5' x 5'. I'm running this light in my main tent: https://www.growgeneration.com/prod...720-horticulture-led-grow-light-system-1.html

I love it, but the ION listed above uses the same components and is several hundred dollars cheaper.
I like that one. It hits everything I think in my head I want. At a price that is actually a little less than the original one I picked. It was after seeing vids and doing the ppm calculator that I began to second guess. Everything that hit those specs was too much. Although, as everyone has said, before these new ones came out, everyone did fine with the previous one. lol. Rabbit hole again.

Thank you! I could look through seed banks forever looking for fast finishers. I have a lot to think about. First is probably putting my fear aside as someone else kind of suggested. I do know I have all of you now if I have problems. I would certainly be more proud of a photo I did from seed. The failed outdoor thing really did a number on me.

Will I be able to achieve it if the ambient temp is 60?
Your light will give some but not 12 degrees. You also need to remember there will be periods of lights off. Can you duct warmer air to the tent?

Are you setting up your grow in the basement? I run my tent at about 82 F. Using LED lighting, I find I need the higher temps due to VPD. Us "old timers" used to refer to it as part of the "dialing in" process. When I joined THC Farme, I learned that their is a whole new thing called VPD. https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/vpd-vapor-pressure-deficit.107967/

Most HID growers try to maintain temps in the mid 70's. The VPD thread will explain why there is a difference in grow space temps for the 2 different types of lighting.

Hindu Kush is a fast finisher too I believe.

We have been running fems. 3 months seed to harvest scrog style.
And we have 2 tents, so we have a harvest every 2 months. Because we have 2, we can let them veg longer to increase yield.
That means we will be running fewer plants.

I can duct the air from the living space. That fluctuates room to room depending on if we’re just using the furnace or have a fire. The air from the warmth of the fire would be too much. What do ppl in colder climates do? Put their heat on 72?

I was gonna mention vpd but the OP is a new grower trying to wrap his head around just basic equipment and environment setup. But you are right VPD is dialing it in especially when using leaf temp.

A lot changes if I have to move rooms. I need to concentrate on getting at least one setup going. If successful (I’m sure I’ll get there) I would expand into that.
