Howdy y'all, first post round here. I started my first grow and a couple of my seedlings are growing slower than the others and have a more sickly look. This is day 11 from seed. Here is what I'm using: coco coir/rice hulls 70/30. GH flora trio (1.7 micro, 1.7 gro, 1.7 bloom) + 4ml/g of calmag. Light is 38", dimmed at 250 watts. Temps are average 77f and 80% rh. Been watering them twice a day, about 10ml each. Any ideas whats going on with these babies? I have also been doing a daily foliar spray of the sickly ones cuz i assume it's a calmag issue.

I should add that I'm following the cocoforcannabis guide, but not 100% sure I'm diagnosing calmag deficiency correctly, or maybe it's something else entirely!

I’m trying not to overwater, aiming for around 10% runoff. Maybe I’ll forgo the second fertigation for the sickly ones and let them dry out a bit. Just don’t wanna underwater, as everyone says to keep coco around 90% saturated.

The whole “keep coco saturated“ thing was a little misleading for me. I’m on my first grow and just around 5 weeks in and I didn’t water until runoff until I transplanted them into 3 gallon pots after a couple weeks from solo cups. I was just using a spray bottle to keep them moist until then.

Here’s my pt.1 thread of the first 4 weeks from seed https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/f...r-power-with-the-spider-farmer-se5000.133884/

and here’s when I upgraded the light to Spiderfarmer SE5000 to get ready for flowering. This thread will be going until harvest.

And here’s some things I learned in the first 4 weeks

It’s amazing watching these things grow. Once they start getting bigger, all the sudden you have these wild big bushy plants growing at an amazing pace. 🤘🤘

Here's a tip if you like using those peat pellets. Before planting them in the solo cup, cut the nylon netting off. I would not go backwards and do that now. I would start doing that going forward when you plant your pellet in your solo cup.

That nylon net can cause some root restriction as the plant grows. It will be happier without it in the long run.

according to cocoforcannabis guide, coco coir is an inert medium and needs fertigation from the beginning. My other plants seem to be doing fine, I’m @ 420 ppm. When would you suggest adding nutrients?

Wow those plants in your grow look strong af. I think I’ll just decrease the volume I fertigate to 5ml instead of the current 10ml, maybe this will benefit the air to water ratio in the same way as the foliar method you did.

Thanks for the tip, next run I’ll make sure to cut that nylon off.

First week in Coco just water twice (if you were in one gallons) . I't's what I done, you'll probably need to water four times or so but they can dry back a bit, also fed at 100/200 ppm probably around 150
Once roots are established treat like hydro and hit them hard.

Treat Coco like soil for soil like results 👀
If you see my grow diary.. despite my plants being the weirdest plants anyones ever seen, they're monsters now, getting fed 7 times a day currently.

Plants that small do not need any nutrients of any kind at this point. Including calmag.
How close is the light and do you have a light meter? They should only be getting around 5000 to 7500 lux at this stage.
Oh, and the light is about 38” above the cups, and it’s dimmed to 250 watts. No light meter.

That’s why I chose coco, because it seemed like a more forgiving version of hydro. Would you say that my 420ish ppm is too high? I figure if I decrease the nutes the plants might get stressed? I’m going off the GH 6 part mute schedule.

I've never used your feeds before, I would probably lower it a bit, 200 maybe and see how they go from there. I'm sure people would agree it's better to under rather than over feed.

I started at 100/200 then kept increasing as they grew. Im using megacrop V1 from start to finish. Maybe you could try look it up and compare the two feeds.

This is my plants right now. That's from seed to 28 day veg straight into flower..
Plus they turned male almost and magically turned back into female.. they literally revegged to male and turned back to female. Never seen it before all due to a light leak

Male part with female part coming through it, also had loads more weird growth, but they're so big for 28 days veg to flower with problems like that.. love Coco.

Download one to your phone. I think you still have a bit to much instensity. No way of knowing without a meter or frying them.
@freezeland2 which app are you using. What readings are you looking for during seedling/veg/and finally flower stage. I'm not sure of what is optimal because I've seen people suggest so many different numbers.
