Yeah the breeder (HSC) is considered good, I guess PUDC is an awesome, potent strain. But from what I’ve read the strain is a Trainwreck cross and they are known to herm.

I guess I’ll separate them in different tents and hope for no cross pollination. If they are full of seeds, which I’m assuming they would be, would sift hash from it still be good?
If they are a good breeder, it should be easy enough to get a refund or at least seeds that won't herm.

If its all herm it won't be worth the cost of growing. You're better off starting new seeds.

I found about 4 balls on one, a couple on the other and 2 or 3 on the runt. All other bud sites are pistils. Think I should just kill them?

Id pull em off and give em a few days. If they keep making balls, I'd kill em. Maybe call HSC and see what they recommend. I called a breeder who said that happens 1 in 1000 times, and sent free seeds. Like to hear how they explain all of yours herming.

Light leaks? Sorry to hear about that man don’t waste too much time if they keep throwing pollen sacs. You’ll be better off popping some new beans. Pluck and wait a few days and see…
sorry Dothraki, I just went through this.

Really hoping this one is a female, not showing just yet

Now I’m thinking after I toss them if I should try to re-veg the Lemongrass that’s been in flower for 2 weeks.

Well I do know 1 thing...gonna have some good airflow in this tent.

flower it, clone a branch, re-veg the clone.
I really want to grow out the herms and make hash with it. @growsince79 how do you keep from cross contamination when growing males in the same house with females?

I keep the male very small; and keep it at the other end of the house.

Does pollen move through exhaust fans? I’m thinking of ordering another tent and growing out the herms to make dry sift or ice water hash. The tent would be in a different room, but I could throw it somewhere else in the house if need be.

absolutely. hell, most hvac filters struggle collecting pollen. best to keep any pollen producers isolated as possible. that's why commercial croppers that grow outdoors bitch when they end up with seeded crops because Johnny Homegrower doesn't realize their "dank plant" dump pollen in the wind and pollinates everything within a couple miles.

cut your hermies. you're playing with fire man. those genetics are garbage, they need to be culled.

Couple years ago I did a full pollination; every bee in the county was trying to get in through my exhaust. Pollen went right through the carbon filter.

I know. But d a m n! I guess I’ll focus on the one that remains. Maybe I’ll get some decent bud from it.

UPDATE:

After losing Sour power due to most likely being male, and finding that all 3 PUDC turned Hermie 2 weeks into flower...I am down to 2 plants. I decided to pluck all ball sacs off and closely monitor. If they reappear, I will toss it. If not, I should have some killer buds if I don’t screw it up.

I see 2 outcomes if all goes well.

Best case: The PUDC doesn’t keep herming and I flower 2 awesome new strains. 1 Lemongrass and 1 Pineapple Upside Down Cake, in a tent that has much more space now.

Worst Case: I end up with 2 plants full of seeded bud, which I will use to make bubble hash and maybe some edibles.

I’m a flower guy so hopefully best case outcome.

SEED UPDATE!
I got a quick response from the mom & pop vendor I purchased the seeds from...they reached out to the breeder (Humboldt Seed Company) and explained the issue. I had also emailed HSC (which responded like 2 hours later)....then one of the HSC folks gave me a call and explained a couple things...like with certain strains if you don’t change from 18/6 to 12/12 gradually it can stress the plant to herm. But she also explained that I was not the first person to mention difficulties growing PUDC so they will most likely discontinue it for that reason. So I guess it’s an awesome smoke but has a tendancy to herm. Go grab them now if you’ve been on the fence and can manage herm possibilities. My brother smoked some in Florida and said it was one of the best strains he’s ever smoked. Anyway, amazing customer service from Humboldt Seed Company and they are sending me a few different strain seeds, a t-shirt and who knows what else. They really seemed genuine about being sorry that I had issues with their seeds and wanted to compensate me for the troubles. Based on that alone, I’ll buy from them again. Plus I hear good stuff about their strains.

So 3 down, 2 left, one that might have to leave the tent. Crossing my fingers...but now, with what HSC is sending me....OMFG I can’t wait for GROW #2!

guess ill check that company out for seeds.

thanks

sorry youre having trouble.

how i feel.

slowly getting more and more stuff for a tent setup, some stuff in mail, tent will be soon.

waiting to see if my other main plant is female....
Nice! If you go with HSC let me know. I asked for Magic Melon, Hella Jelly (formerly Jolly Rancher) and Strawberry Cheesecake. Ive heard good things about Hella Jelly and also Magic Melon. Raspberry Parfait is supposed to be awesome too. They have some diesel strains but probably more fruity than gassy, I want that straight gas.
