Check it out. They specifically go into what water to use in regards to pH.

Lmao dude your out of your mind we are talking about the water you use in your slurry is the same water you use all the time not using distilled to do a slurry just because that's what you want to use. anyway bro Idgaf I do what i have to do to get what I need done but dont say something that isn't true I was only repeating information I know to be fact other than that I have nothing to say

Dreamfox,

Watch it all the time just still trying to grasp what's best.
slurries are best done with distilled water but you can use tap water, just check your ppm first the subtract it from your final number. i do 1oz soil and 1oz distilled water
the reason to do it in the same place every time is so you can see trends. The specific number are not as important as just seeing the direction the numbers are moving. Also don't worry about the roots. I know that is a tough one but you are not hurting the plant one bit. when you do the next surry in the same spot the root will have already grown back

no, but all hydro stores here in Canada have it. it has a schedule that you should follow at half strength.
its a interesting line because you really dont have to start a half strength. I personally dont feed my seedlings anything, i preload the soil with one shot for that. If you feed the recommended schedule the seedlings get very little food. its more to feed the soil

that video is different then what i have heard him say in the past. Your water in phed before you feed so i am not sure the point he is making. I think distilled is the best way to get a clean ph and ppm reading from your soil

Yeah when I do my slurries I use the exact same base water that I mix my nutrients up in to a T. I aerate my tap water to get rid of the chlorine and then mix it with distilled to get it into range just like I do when I feed.
then just make sure you subtract your starting ppm from your ending ppm

Just so you guys are aware I printed out the nftg Bible and have read it in front to back 20 times along with every single other grow Bible. Watched every single episode of the OCGFAMSHOW and am still watching them over to completely grasp this. So when I'm asking you guys questions I'm not looking for the simple answer that they answer about 20 different ways as the years go on. I know those answers all like the back of my hand. Scott says in a couple of his shows you can't go back and watch shows from 5 years ago and then bring them up today because of how much s*** has changed. So really the only s*** that's going to hold any weight throughout the years is the f****** information on the bottle or information on what's in the bottle even those ingredients change. Even the slurry test numbers have changed because of LEDs. So collectively let's just keep figuring this s*** out

I've looked at all your guys's profiles you guys all have some nice looking plants. Meaning you all did something right. Meaning I listen to everything all you guys say not just one or the other. And I've definitely heard Scott say to use the exact same water that you use to mix your nutes in but have also heard him say used distilled I'm pretty sure they're for two different situations but an email I got from him a little while ago said not to use distilled and to use the water that I mix my nutrients with or I'm not going to get a proper reading

Also you guys when this thread goes dead for a few days I like to bring up some s*** to talk about just to keep you guys with me you know. For Valentine's Day my girl surprised me and bought me an hlg Blackbird with a 4x4 ac infinity tent so I can have a veg and flower tent for my next grow I'm going to have to get all bells and whistles to go along with it within the next month. I think I'm going to get all that AC Infinity ducting inline fans and inline fan boosters with all the controllers. I want my next grows environment to be exactly what it should be I'm sick of dealing with my janky setup LOL

So I figure I'll get a Little seedling/autoflower tent with my ts1000 I'll keep my veg tent with my fc e3000 and then I'll have my flower tent with my HLG blackwing. What I'm trying to say is I'm going all in on this turning it up a notch and I'm going to have a lot more going on and the people that I've found on here that I like I want to stick with me this s***'s going to be fun

good luck on it, I've been watching & listening to an older guy that's been growing since 81, who taught me some of the works on it without the hesitations & frustrations b/c others have done it, you will get A LOT MORE ACHIEVED IF YOU STICK YOU YOUR OWN, not worrying what this guy is using, etc

You know what, i was thinking about it and why wouldn't I wanna use distilled with it's 0 ppm to get an exact reading of ppms in your soil. Shit has me confused now lol. Then on top of that every feed tea and flush is a different pH. So I'm gonna retract my statement. Even after being told to use the same base water for slurries, IMO distilled water would give you a more accurate reading.

Doesn't blue lab or someone make a probe to put in the soil to tell pH and ppm. I gotta make sure I'm getting close to the right readings doing slurries. Pots are filled out with roots it's getting hard.

There is a soil probe but from what i have heard its not as accurate as a slurry. Its close though. It only works when tbe soil is wet.

I wonder how old that video is. Will definitely keep using distilled water in mine

What about one of those cheap soil PH probes that you just leave in. I know it's not going to give me an accurate reading but it could tell me as long as it stays in between 6 and 7.Shit maybe even put a few of them in each pot just to see the accuracy.

I haven't seen those. I was told to stay away from the combo meters, the metal prong ones, even those are not ment to stay in the soil. The tips will corrode quickly if you do

Yeah I know not to get the combo meters. So I did get the moisture meter like you guys told me to should I be leaving that in or just use it when I'm testing the soil. Or leave it in for a few days take it out and clean it off and then put it back in for a few days?
