I used to have those same shoes; but wore the soles out sadly. Leather was still great; just simply wore the bottoms off them; didn't bother with replacment because of the lack of stitching holding the soles. I suppose they could have been re-soled. I do miss them; unfortunately. Probably could have had them sewn on; I suspect. Were great house shoes.

The best shoe's IMO have Vibram; or custom soles. But I guess I'm a little old fashioned when it comes to the stitching part; also failsafe waterproofing is a must; here in Seattle.. I want to always be able to stick my foot up to the ankles without it getting wet outside. Once my soles fell off the Danner Rat; I'll never purchase another set that don't have stitching. Just peeled apart; and water seeped in...

All the best shoe's I've worn usually have Vibram; or custom soles. But I guess I'm a little old fashioned when it comes to the stitching part; also very bulletproof waterproofing is a must; especially here in Seattle.. I want to always be able to stick my foot up to the ankles without getting wet. Once my soles fell off the Danner Rat; I'll never purchase another set that don't have stitching.

They've got some wear and tear but I'll try to squeeze one more season out of them.

Purple punch are getting awkward moving in & out of the tent to water them. 😜 what a mess. Need to do something; cause there just getting heavier; and more brittle. I think one of these could have filled out that 4x4 TBH. Maybe some sticks? πŸ€”
