Ty @GrowHobo and @Frankster I flushed the soil with distilled water got some PH down for $3.26 😁 and the plant is outside in the sun it almost right away turned green. When I flushed the soil did I wash out all the microbes and stuff in the soil? If so is it ok to wait a couple days before I do the top dress and add all the stuff back to the soil ? That and the PH down I didn't use yet cause the distilled water I bought will last a few days. Hoe do I use the PH down if I have to use my well water though? Fill my water can and check the waters PH and then add PH down if I need it tell I get the right PH and then just water the plant right ? Then add nutes when I need them but check the soil PH every so often also.
absolutely; just do it gradual to build it back up again. your roots will take it from there again. So good to see you realize which direction you ended up at; that way next time you can control it better...

Hi all! Can anyone help me with diagnosing the yellowing on my plant?

Plant info: It is an indoor auto-seed, and I keep the light constantly on. It has been three and a half weeks since I potted it. Two days ago I noticed the yellowing and tried to change the water - switched to a lower pH level. But it doesn't appear to have made much difference, though it does continue to grow.

Might be the light if you have it on 24hours should be 18 and 6. But frankster will let you know for sure or growhobo.

I would check that one over real good for bugs; or maybe even a fungus.

I'm thinking mites; or miners... by the look; look real closely on the undersides of those leaves.

Here's one for you Mr. Frankster:
I'm at start of week 7; 10 weeks expected. Indoor soil under LED. I did notice some nute burn on leaf tips but just have plain water today. Once the soil isn't soaked I'll do a slurry pH test. The spots don't look like normal end-of-life fading. I can take closer pics, they seem to get more grainy when I upload.

Thanks!

I posted a real good home remedy for spider mites and it works fast, and better than Neem oil here is the video link if you want to try it.

What do you think has been eating my plants?

We do have rabbits. My first guess was pack rats, apparently there was an issue with them in the house before. Sealed up my room better and put out traps, here's hoping!

Could be rats use steel wool in any holes you fins and cover with wood. Rats can't chew the wool it gets stuck in there teeth.

Thanks for the tip, hoping to go back and find no more damage today but we will see.

G'afternoon, trying to locate affordable synthase for the pcr sex texting of young seedlings at home. Any recommendations? Appreciate it in advance.

Sorry I haven't been on for awhile; lots of life happening lately.

Yea; my guess would be mild magnesium; and I see some slight calcium in some minor spot there.... nothing really of concern IMO; just bottom leaves; which is where you want to isolate it.... Flowers look bomb btw; so I would just keep those flowers on the dyer side; if possible and let them fade; if anything gets worse; it can be addressed one nutrient at a time... if anything; I would say calcium; sulfur maybe... but much of that is now immobilized in the plant and needs to be simply translocated.

Thanks for the reply, man. I think next run I'll try a different soil or a different medium altogether.

Sealing up my room with wood seems to have worked, appreciate the advice. I have had mice chewing on stalks before, and deer eating outdoor plants, but never any pest inside cause as much damage.

Post it up, or ask.

Alright, thought I would maybe make a thread for this sort of thing, instead of doing it though PM all the time. I've thrown around this idea for some time. Post up questions; (with pics please, and relevant background/historical information) answers can be offered by anyone/everyone. Please feel free offer up a solution, if you know an answer.

Rules; Keep it civil, be respectful.
No making fun, or belittling someone's grow; ie. that will not be tolerated, and the offending comments will be removed.
Have fun, and maybe learn something.

That is all. This is the conclusion of the emergency grow broadcast system; 😬
Some bud porn for time.

I have a question: any idea what is causing the new leaves to curl? a lot of the leaves look a little bowed.

I think once you get things back under control well, you can ramp it up again, in some respect, and get a bit more weight gain out of it. I think the key here is getting it over the hump, and then moving forward. I would start nailing it with humics/fluvics going forward, if possible, along with your base nutrient blend, (trio) like you say, maybe some trace (1/4 tsp per gallon) of sugars to feed the biome layer some. I use mostly barley malt right now, seems to work good.

Stressing/encouraging that micro-biome with dry cycling, good airflow, and keeping nailing it with fluvic really seems to do some crazy good things during this phase, and it really helps increase stress resistance, and stretch water dynamics, IMO. Lowers overall nutrient needs. Adds bulk, increases overall complexity.
