If you are going to run the recipe. Make sure of a couple things.
#1. Get a reliable scale in grams.
#2. Mix Jacks in this order. Part A jacks fertilizer, part c epsom salt then part B calcium nitrate
I’ve drilled that into my head already, but I appreciate the heads up!

PowerSI first before anything. Fulvic at the end. I usually add my PH up to the water before I start adding anything as well.

Do you add PH up before your PowerSI?

The reason I thought we added PowerSI to the mix first was because if the solution is too basic the Silica won't dissolve in the water and will end up suspended.

I don't know the why, but I asked a similar question on this thread afew pages back. PowerSi goes first. My process goes ps, nutrients, fulvic then I ph it. I usually have to go down but ff tiger bloom seems to bring the pH down already so most times I don't need to mess with it.

So my understanding is that if you add the PH+ stuff to a solution that already has nutrients in it, it can cause some of the nutrients to fall out into a condensate. (
). You can add the PH stuff at any point in the mixing, but if you add it at the end, you have to dilute it down. Like, a tablespoon of solution in a couple cups of plain water. Then use that diluted solution to PH your nutrients.

So what I did was mix a batch (PowerSI then Part 1 then Magnesium Sulfate then Calcium Nitrate then Mr, Fulvic. Then I PH the whole bucket. Once I have my PH at 6.5, I feed. But once you know how much PH adjustment you are going to need for YOUR nutrient solution, you can now just get your bucket of water, add the PH amount you established earlier without needing to get a second container to dilute it, then add your nutrients as usual.

And am I reading this correctly, you are using Fox Farm Tiger Bloom in ADDITION to the Jack's 321 nutrients?

I had not seen that. I dunno about that part. My water is naturally 6.5 but these nutrients bring my PH way down so I have to add PH UP. So when I PH my solution at the beginning, I am actually RAISING the PH over the 6.5 so i guess it wouldn't bother the PowerSi? RIght?

I would assume so. I can't remember where I read it, so this may all be just speculation, but it was over 7.5 or 8 or so, it would suspend or not dissolve in the water.

But if water is already right around there any ways I don't think that would cause a problem. But I'm no chemist that's for sure.

Sorry I never saw this. No just the ff trio plus their powdered nutes for flowering. I haven't started with the Jacks yet I just added PowerSi and Mr fulvic to the ff I was using. That videos interesting I didn't know any of that. Is it the same for soil? Lately I haven't had to adjust at all bc of the TB.

I use the Jack's 321 for soil. I figured out what amount of PH i needed using the dilluted method, then just add that much to the plain water before I begin adding anything to it. Waiting on a Blue Lab pen right now so have been using the drops to PH my nutrients.

Green planet massive for the triacontanol in it from week 1-5 flower is what ill be doing. I can tell you it will increase the bulk and stretch alot.

Heard some reports of lower thc if run to the end as many who use it do. I cannot confirm that but do believe that’s possible
Aquaman:

I apologize if you have mentioned this, but do you add this in along with your nutrients (according to Ballin' Recipe) or do you adjust down the Jack's portion to compensate for the 1-2-3 NPK in the Massive?

Note: I haven't looked at the dilution rate to even know if the 1-2-3 adds that much elemental PPM.

At flip i add it to keeping the same ratios. But i found i needed a slightly higher N and Mg ratio

Do you attribute this to "beneficials" in Massive causing the plant to go looking for more N and Mg?

Meaning, the positive attributes of Massive on the plant's metabolism create a higher need for these 2 elements?

I'll be honest I am trying to make sense of the answer because if nothing has been cut from the nutrition for the plant, this Massive seems to stimulate growth ... causing an excess need for more nutritional elements. To use a tired phrase, it's like Massive puts the plant on steroids ... like a bodybuilder needing more calories for muscle growth to keep up.

Do not add massive at Flip. It has a secondary nutrient in it that will promote stretch. Also run it on the low side 30 to 50 percent of listed amount and only from week 3 to 6. It will increase weight but has secondary effects
Yeah it depends on the strain… i see no issues unless you have a sativa leaning plant… The stretch imo is part of the benefit. Depending on the other plant i feel it can be added at flip, a week in or 2 weeks in. Its depends on the structure you have to work with. Anything 50/50 id wait until after 2 weeks flower.

This grow i have smaller plants and they are 100% indica. No issue adding it

It is a plant steroid. Tricantinol

Nope just an adjustment i make to the recipe to tweak for my own grow…. Likely due to LED lighting

@Aqua Man. Are you currently running this recipe? Do you bother to check for brix at all? Reason I ask is, I ran this two runs back and my finished product was lacking in flavor. Plants looked very healthy but, when I tested for brix, it never got above 5%. Only difference was I used Armour Si because I couldn’t (and still can’t lol!) afford the Power Si. I added 1.25 ml of Armour per gallon which gives 15.2 ppm of Si, and 11 ppm of K.
Do you have any take on this?
