Interesting... Never seen it. Sorry for your loss but thanks for sharing.
No big deal im kinda excited to have it tbh… nothing like first hand experience.

Tgis is what happens when you don’t inspect your plants. It could have and should have been easily avoided

Since your res is positive pressure, if there was perlite in the coco do you think that would have helped to push O2 up thru the media and prevent this?
i agree with this. The coco looks to wet and if that wetness is consistent than it's given for a rot to happen

I think it was wet, very high temp, not sterile or live until just recently, did not keep the bottoms cleaned up for air flow and had poor airflow over the pots…

im sure all of those contributed but majorly was not running bacteria while running very high temps and not pulling the humid air away from the base of the stem.

Those little white nubs are actually roots forming and that tells me the moisture in the air just above the coco was waaaay to high

Wet roots are not the real issue the issue is the humid air at the base of the stem which your right is partially due to wet coco but more so the poor airflow at the base of the stem.

i basically created the perfect conditions for this to happen. So its all on me… 100% preventable grower error here

Thats the beauty of experimenting

Ah so thats crown rot..its funny a forum member put a pic up of one of his branches that is showing exactly that, but not at the base but up way further on the stem.
yeah then its rot but not crown rot… southern AG fungicide should help if its not to late. You get rot in many places but its always due to infection for various reasons… sometimes bug damage leads to rot but typically its a humidity thing

Thats good to know Aqua..glad you put that up..

Yeah, I know. He pretends he doesn't know a lot all the time too. IF people only knew how many plants he has grown, and done so in 90+ degree heat and super high humidity...
Lol I have grown in 100 degrees this year and as much as 75 rh it’s been crazy but dude they definitely are not picture worthy this round ! Lol -I’ll have it all straightened out though before next summer! Lol bigger mini split and larger dehuey just another grand to throw at a hobby! Lmao

I pulled buds apart and got 50 mph winds goin on right now! Lol but we gonna make it to the finish ! Couple more weeks
