I promise I won't interfere with your Mars bashing anymore!
Must attend to plants.
My apologies 😕

Candidly, Mars Hydro's commercial grade line of bar lights are good lights as far as I can tell. I think most people recognize that. I recommended the FC-E4800 to a member the other day, you can read my post.

The issue people have with the company is Mars Hydro setting expectations and not meeting them.

All companies set expectations, through terms and conditions, warranties, shipping, etc. Here is the key part: All companies set their own expectations. It is then up to any company to then fulfill and meet their customers expectations that they have set. This is where Mars Hydro is failing. They have terms & conditions, warranties, etc. expressly stated on their website; unfortunately, they make a conscious decision not to meet. If you're not privy to issues customers face with their products, well, you might take a moment to research that.

EDIT: This is NOT unique to Mars Hydro. We are just highlighting MH in this thread, their are certainly other companies that do not meet the expectations of their customers. In addition, SHOCK 🤯, even companies like HLG sometimes don't meet their customers expectations and lose a customer.

Hey bud, mine have Samsung diods and mean well drivers!!! Lol

Again, I have many posts on the farm and never really said much at all until today cuz I've had them long enough to have an opinion.

If I have an issue with them I will post it on here, the same as I would with any company.

Performance is not synonymous with quality.
You can make a kickass light that has the best spectral analysis and penetration tests have ever seen. A faulty connection still gonna burn your ass 🤷‍♂️

You can hook up the newest Samsung or Osram diodes and, hell, even a Philips driver and still, a faulty connection gonna burn your ass 🤷‍♂️

I thought you were done with this thread
I do hope you realize all of the reviews you read about a light are made by Bots. They buy the reviews much like reviews on Amazon

It's not foolish I am just saying did you just say all these other people were wrong 🤔 I am just saying it's not a secret they're hot garbage. I think the HLG guy said only buy Samsung diodes and mean well drivers. Why because no name stuff will not be covered by your home owners insurance

@grnmtn there are no conspiracies here. A member had a light failure and received poor customer service so there's your thread. Trust me - if the same things were happening with "that other sponsors" lights people would be posting about them too.

This has NOTHING to do with Spider Farmer vs Mars Hydro. FML. We all like to feel good about the hard earned money we've spent but having blind loyalty to a brand doesn't do anyone any favours.

There is something not correct with you coming on this thread that has clearly documented issues with a product and stating how wonderful another one of their products is. You clearly have an agenda and anyone with half a brain can see that. So taking that to the next step I can clearly see you have some sort of a deal with Mars or you work directly for Mars in some way shape or form.

What lights I run or my setup has nothing to do with this thread. That is just another attempt by you to side track this thread.
Bit much mate, to be fair I have a Mars Hydro light and have had no issues what so ever. We are all entitled to our opinion, let's not create a toxic environment. It is shit this guy's light almost caught fire but end of the day we are all here for the same reason, to learn and share our experiences, if he/she has had a good experience with Mars Hydro then it is relevant to the thread and shouldn't be attacked or accused of bullshit as a result. Can we just agree to disagree and put an end to this please

@grnmtn . Remember two things can be true at the same time. Just because goodshts lights burned up doesn't mean yours will. It means just be careful. Anytime we people on budgets buy Chinese we are taking a risk for shorter service life over cost.

Basically I had a issue with Mars several years ago. Their customer service and quality where shit. I had a driver go bad at about 7 months. Contact Mars, they want the whole bit. Receipt, pictures, video. Then they ask me if I would mind installing the new driver. Ok, no problem. Then it is oh out USA warehouse is out. The driver will have to come from China and it took 4 weeks to get hear. When the very same thing happened to the second light like days after getting the new driver. I contacted Mars they want the same crap again. Even though it is all in the email content below. So ya I think their lights are a piece of shit. If you want to call the truth toxic fine by me

Why would you go backwards? The higher end HLG lights have UL and CTL Certs. You can't compare Shenzhen China Junk to HLG or one of the top tier company's to China crap that carries no certs or real testing behind them.

So I take ok the time to look you up and if I am not mistaken you are on your first grow? So why would you chime into this thread in the first place. If you had a Mars Hydro Light running for several years I could totally understand, but I cannot remember how many times I have seen someone new hop on a thread like this and leave comments about whatever XYZ light you have.

i,m only on my 2 or 3rd grow with mh ts3000 ( i say 2nd-3rd because i overlapped photos and autos) and lights have been running constant for the girls.
is it not possible the OP and others didn't have the plugs fully in?
i know mine was a real snug fit with the plugs?
and yes i am a newb here but so far i've had no issues with the lights.
and why go after a member who was just trying to calm this thread down to a civil level?
