Pretty sure you already got this figured out yourself.
To be honest, from what I am seeing the fogponics and the OG tech are working better than my system. I am impressed. I was made aware of this set up a couple months ago and I was actually trying to figure out a way to run the GO set up by right now I am finally going live and between that and fulvic I am seeing advances but the OG system looking like another set up

How long did it take to get roots Moe. I can usually push it in rockwool to about 8 days if I try. I could use the riot cubes and shave off a couple days but those things are over priced

A good 4 days ahead of what I average. I just Can drop it down by using a heat mat and general drying blocks out more but that is just his typical. Impressive
There's nothing special here on the clones, that's just a standard areo cloner.

Define little guy. What would you need to produce to be economically viable?

Currently top shelf is $350/oz here. I'd be happy just doing 10 pounds a month and getting half of that price.
I thought that Ponky guy said the BM was at like 80 an once.
That is what is really odd over here. The BM pound is down to 1200 for top shelf. But the consumer price has stayed about the same. It is 200 a zip here

that's cheap enough that if that's what happens here, I won't bother. We will see.

Friends in Michigan who were care givers for med were doing 2-250 a zip now lucky to get 75 $ for the same bag it’s just saturated - on the other end here in Fla , it’s 60 G’s plus just to apply for a seed to sale license ! Little guy out.

I’m sure a business person could make it work on a small scale somewhere it’s just being worked out of the system for now - I say for now cuz imo see it going like beer - all Budweiser, miller, ect then bam ipas make an appearance so hopefully it will come around .

I think it is a double edge sword so to speak. I learned a lot in the last 18 months the hard way. I think the only way to stay profitable is to do everything yourself. Sure you can get the trimming done but other than that the guy forking over the cash has to be there when work if getting done. I would say about 15 lights maybe 20 is about all a one man show can handle. Part of the problem with employees is getting good help. And to add to that who really wants to work on growing weed all day. I think we know the answer to that. In there lies the challenge. People just want to get high all day and not work.
It will be interest to see where it all goes. Eventually it will become nationally legal and at that point you have big business at the wheel. Will there be a craft farmer? I kind of doubt it. I think it was @DrGreen55 that said that he has tried to make wine and it is hard but weed is easy. It kind of is once you understand things. The tools and resource available at that scale will pretty much destroy the craft Farmer from what I can see.
Could you imagine, hey Joe this time feed them 10 percent more XYZ. Take some tissue cultures a couple days later. Oh that did this. It will not take long once they start because they are going to start with grow consultants and just raise the bar.

No hijack. We will see where this takes us. I’m having a hard time believing that small or home growers go away because Bayer enters the game. Based on what I have seen with the vaccine hysteria weed grown by pharmaceutical companies would get rejected by half the population because of the source.
I should have qualified who is going to take the lead on growing commercial cannabis in the future. It could be the tobacco industry or the alcohol industry. I do not believe it will be big pharma.
I believe there will be home growers that grow For personal use and probably some friends and family. But the guy with 10 lights in his house or a small warehouse is probably finished IMO.
Locally I am kind of shocked things have not began to level out. It is no big secret the socal legal rec seen sales a large quantity of their product out the back door. I know their prices are down as well. The overhead associated with these grows is pretty substantial and it has to be hurting their bottom line as well.
The odd thing is the price for a zip or smaller has not changed. Many of the small delivery guys that use to buy 1/4 pound have folded up shop.
I do not fully understand all of this.

If cannabis starts to replace over the counter pills or doctor issued at a much larger scale (I am talking this could take decades), and then it starts to affect big pharms income, they will sit up and take notice and do something about it. Just my thoughts. Farm-gate here we come :D

I'm kinda done making predictions about the market and big pharma and US law. I have not yet hit one right, so I'll just wait and see.

I do believe it will be different in say California or Colorado and say Texas, just because the markets are not new and have reached saturation. I think there might be some wiggle room in the newly legal states that does not exist in the old markets. But then again, if it is legal across the US, they can now ship product from Cali to Mississippi, that might blow up those markets too.

Who knows. Not me. Good thing my success is not tied to these uncontrollable market forces, feel bad for those caught up in it.

Folks, I'm taking a break. I'll see ya when I see ya. I got enough stress in my life to come here and get another helping, so I'm done for a while. No, not this thread, just in general.

@Moshmen I'll text you this weekend to work out the clone shipping thing. @SweetLeafGrow you know how to reach me if you need help with your PH.

✌️
