We're breaking the rules here with politics. To me its like amateur sports....Who goes to watch it? unless you have someone in the game you know or are a participant in the sport there are very few who pay attention to it. A few spectators for fun on a nice day but that's it.
I'm 70 and I've never known anyone that was a political participant, that were going to meetings, posting signs, donating money or being involved other than a few grumbles at the bar or with friends. Sure we all vote for some ahole but its more to kick someone out than to stand on the bandwagon for any party...We seem to give them 8 years then say FK you Raw raw for the other guys.....its all a sham for our money.

Going to start getting pretty cold over there, also. It may not be Siberia, but I’ll bet it still gets a might nippy!

17f several times this week. 37 currently at end of the day... 4:20 PM 😆


Still thinking this city boy I can't hang? It's certainly going to get worse before it gets better. But I've been going up to the six Wheeler and we're making some progress getting it out of the hole and off the ridge line and down here

I've been too camp many times but it's been admittedly decades and I'm learning it all over again

The only camp that would prepare you for this is the winter warfare training center up in the Sierras! My money is still on winter, but I’m not getting the odds I once was! You are hanging tough you crazy bastard! L O L! And I hope you prove me wrong. Be careful! It’s going to get slicker than snot on a door knob if it isn’t already! Take care of those old bones, Brother.

The day room is what I spend the most day hours in... It's like two rooms with a really long cold hallway lined with a big urinal 😆 and stove's on each side...

Redundant just in case Storm knocked me out


Then the truck below and the car on the hill up by the street.... All with sleeping bags and dry provisions


Seattle ⛵ would be the fallback zone if needed

My biological father was winter ❄️ survivalist instructor for the entire Blackhawk council troop and I've gone to winter camp's since five years old... Ice fishing hut and igloo construction.... All of it


But this is something else than the freezing 🥶 cold


It's certainly more inhospitable but abundant at the same time... If any of that makes sense


Wet plus cold is worse on multiple of fronts. Of that there is little question. Challenging in different ways

Yeah 👍 got three or four already and another dry chord of cedar down just need to cut it up


Then the hardwood maple 🍁 in the creek up elevated. It's probably five in it possible.... It's so huge and very nearby.... Seasoned


Just need help getting it processed

Just brought down another welding blanket and set it behind the chair. Toasty and eliminated the draft on that side. Need to pick up a few more small ones at harbor freight


Great portable heat reflection that won't catch 🔥. Use even less wood and be more comfortable

Need to locate a fir close by.. the cedar is great for starting... But the fir is bulletproof even in frozen ice when wet

Especially the bottom stumps and roots. Pitch. Much like Georgia pine or white birch bark
