They’re your plants 🤷🏽

all this “experimenting” is unnecessary as there have already been done by universities.

But you know it all right. Lol
I don’t know shit jack

When it was federally illegal and only a handful of people were allowed to research it?

It’s still federally illegal as far as i know and tons of red tape on researching it.

Times are changing now but still.

What universities are you talking about that have done cannabis research with flowering hours?

4 hours on 2 hours off has not, as far as I know, do you have access to such papers?

How did I come off as a know-it-all?

I’ve grown for barely full 3 years

You’re right it/you don’t matter. I was just making a point that it’s dumb. (To be blunt).
4hours on 2 off.. 🤡

There have been several universities studying cannabis, hemp was one of the first to be researched as it has many uses. Alabama/Oregon/Auburn to name a few.

Go smoke a bowl Chad
Hemp and cannabis are still two different things….

I’m not the one trippin over some test, to see for my self, lol

And you’re still not sourcing anything , nor talking about light research on hours

🤡 💨

I'm very sure somewhere in his thread he noted he did this to control leaf temperature.. it's not dumb.. it science.. alot of people laughed at alot of our inventors bit now everyone cannot let without their invention. @Observationist you continue to do your thing.

You do realize that universities and scientists are still studying cannabis and there is still A LOT we don't know right? Why let university students have all the fun? Do you not experiment with your grows, or do you have one set formula that works perfectly every time? Do you treat every cultivar the same?

Experiment to know 100%

Im pretty sure it’s probably already documented or known but also seems like it’s not

Does it have to be 10 or 12 or 14 hours of Uninterrupted darkness to initiate flowering?

Because you can give plants 4Hours of light to a total of 16hours over the day with dark cycles between, and they’ll stay in veg, was curious about the other way around, but I think due to hormones/signaling (?) it won’t work, it has be uninterrupted dark periods.
So want to put an end to all the second guessing.

And like to experiment, and then IF that doesn’t work, I wanted to see if it’s possible to flip them AND then go back to a 2-2 = 12hrs and see what happens lol

I think the answer will be it won’t work, and then flipping back to 2-2 after flower set, would fuck it up and lose time and have to correct it

But hey let’s find out

My own little research I guess

I started to but only did it for barely a week and got impatient and just went to 13-11
There is some testing that has shown you can give them like 1 or 2 hours in the middle of the 12 hours of darkness and They will not start the flowering process

Yes

The main part in 4-2 was
Using more intense PPFD during short light periods
Seeing how plants respond
Seeing if it could be more efficient than running 18hours straight
Controlling heat build up from lights baking 16-18 hours straight
Maybe easier on equipment?
Environment control

Then that led to, it still comes out to 16-18 hours, just denominated , they stay in veg, what about flower, i haven’t seen any one else test these hours and variables, I’ve heard them mentioned from bugbee, he probably has, probably is, probably already knows, there probably some variables I’m not even aware or considering , like I don’t know how the singaling/hormones work, just That they respond to light hours differently

So then I wanted to see what 2-2 does- that’ll come to 12hours but DUE to the hormone levels/interrupted darkness it’s not gonna flower them regardless of how little light hours they get - buts it’s cool to know things 100% and see for your self too

It would be better if I actually have everything hooked up automatically and on a controller with data logging, but I’m too broke for that right now.
