Here's some from my summer/outdoor harvest. Still iin the jars after 4 months. Even though the cure is technically over, I just opened one up after not opening for a month and immediately it smells even better, sweeter......

This is Strawberry Widow, and I totally pollinated/seeded on the early side.....so these buds are actually well-seeded. Still very good. Because of a late warm fall I was able to harvest around Nov 1st and cured for about 2 months.
ahhh okay damn that’s a long curing time! haha

mmmmmmm that look really good! have you tried it yet?

This is the current ones we’re working on. The rest are packed away.

Yes, plucked out all the big ones already. 😂

Moved the hygrometer for pic. Don’t leave it on the RH pad.

I’m not big on small jars either. Not selling. Plus the large ones look cool full!

You sir are a conasur. 👍
Awww, thank you. I'm fairly new here, and in the mid-veg stage of my first indoor grow in many years......I'm really looking forward to it and watching everyone here through their recent flowerings and harvests. Mine aren't even a foot tall yet, but I'll get there. ;).

Oh yeah, sure. And don't think that seeded means it's not great......it just means I gotta carefully break it up with scissors and separate/collect the seeds. I pollinated 2 Strawberry Widows with a big, unknown Indica dom male, so I'm psyched to see how the next generation turns out.

yeah that’s awesome, what did you cross to get the strawberry widow or is that an actual strain?

Nice......I just bought 6 half gallon mason jars. Quarts are good too but with the amount I know I'm gonna harvest around June, I'm definitely going to need more half gallons, especially if I'm going to start with larger stalks....

He’s 100% right too. Mine still matures. It mellows and changes. Gets smoother too but been vaping all year. Need to burn one again to see for sure...🤣

A month is good if you can. Longer could continue to show improvements. Cool, dark space is good, if the room is in the 60s that's better than the 70s. But then it's technique. Keeping that consistent almost dry but still a little inner moisture to allow the buds/stalks to keep transitioning back and forth between almost dry, and just slightly moist. That's something you'll get a feel for over time. Opening the jars every 24 to 48 hours, it should be moist enough to allow more air drying but not so moist it allows for mold.....any ammonia or vinegar smell will tell you it's too moist and needed to be aired out longer......if there's not enough moisture that 24 to 48 hours in the jar doesn't moisten them back a little then it's too dry......better to lean a bit towards too dry until you really get that feel. You can't undo spoiled or moldy, but you can add a little piece of fruit peel or something to add a little moisture if it's too dry. It's in that transition back and forth, every day or 2, finding that zone where after 3, 4+ weeks you start getting it. Smoother, less green, less harsh, smells and taste keep improving.....you'll know.
Before I got the RH pads I used to cheat and use half a q-tip taped to the lid. Then put a drop or two of water if needed. Had to start somewhere.

The Strawberry Widow is Strawberry Cough x White Widow from a friend's seeds. He's not as meticulous anout genetics, so I'm not sure if it's a perfect 50/50 cross, and he didn't know the genetic origins of the Indica seeds, so there's a little bit of unknown here. There's definitely a "strawberry" smell, and the plants seemed more on the Sativa side, so I'd say it's pretty true. It took until late October for them to really ripen, so if we didn't have such a late warm fall, they wouldn't have come out this good. That's why I'm glad I pollinated with the Indica. Should make a nice genetic mix.

Hey, that's just as good as anything. I've used a folded up square of moist paper towel. Whatever strikes that happy back and forth balance.

that’s awesome! and sounds delicious honestly never had white widow or strawberry cough. but yeah hopefully they mix nicely

nice! i have some of those boveda packs should i use those in my jars?
Read up on that.

I just got them after I had everything jarred and manually burping.

I recall reading that some just use them in place of a proper cure. Not sure it’s right. But I do like for longer storage!

Get 62+% for long storage and I like 58% for smoke/vape.

Funny thing is I use to use apple or potato slices in my tobacco in the day and never once thought to do it with weed. Fear of mould.

So much sh!t in tobacco it never got mouldy. I haven’t smoked a pipe in 20/25 years? Found a mason jar with a slice still in and tobacco stuck all over it. Didn’t unwrap it so I can’t say which it was. Tobacco wasn’t dry.

what do your homemade RH pads do? i have Qtips lol
I had dry weed right off the cure. Over night every thing changed. No idea what to do with it; later read and tried HO.

So I remembered what I did for tobacco. Out of all the hacks qtips don’t rot so did that first. Then bought the RH pads. First time user, long time reader. 🤣 You need a way to measure the humidity or it’s useless.

So far, so good. They exorb & expel to maintain RH.

Think they last 4? Months.
