Whoa! See I ran the p series forever, so by your post, the xs is throwing the same amount of light as the p at half the wattage? That’s one hell of an upgrade…….damn.

Yeah the xs is 150 watts and the p is 100 watts. so by my calculations haha,

The xs is pumping 37.5 watts and the p is pumping 50 watts on my current settings

Yeah even pumping less wattage, I think the xs is putting off more light. I don’t have a meter to back that up but it’s easy to see haha. The plant confirms it too

Bro, I’m Oldschool, I use one of these, there are the phone apps too, but this little $15 meter is always within the range of the digital apps. Has served me right for years man. Cheap, and works wonderfully.

Yeah I’ve gone the photone app route and it works pretty well but I tend to just eye ball things reading the plants.

I typically only bust out the ‘meter’ when things are just out of wack or making big adjustments.

I also blasted the seedlings of this grow with 600 ppfd

I’m running mine pretty hard too, they’ll take it….they’ll take it hard haha yeah they tell you everything as long as you don’t have selective hearing

It fooled the hell out of me man, I’ve grown micro and mammoth basil plenty….that little guy threw me for a loop….let me know what you think of it, I may try it, nothing like fresh basil in tomatoe gravy…..
