To all the new outdoor growers I wanted to put this out there. It's common to have a calyx beneath a node in the main colas to be a source for bud rot.
I check them towards the end of the flower cycle.

That’s a really great tip. A lot of the time they do degrade.

That IS a good tip. Those old pre flower calyxes are often old and gross.

So, what do you do? Pinch them off?

I hope y’all are doing well this morning. I’m posting a couple of pics of a new strain I’m growing this year it’s called Grimace. I found it on Strainly this spring. I asked a breeder called Kropduster if he had any strains that would grow well in my humid environment. He replied very quickly that he only had this one strain that is PM resistant and others in Ontario had grown it with good results. He didn’t try to upsell me on the many other strains he breeds so I ordered some beans from him. They are big plump seeds that cracked the fastest of the dozen or so I started they are robust and didn’t need to be babysat at all as seedlings. Fast track to start of week 5 flowering the buds are turning purple the stems are purple candy striped and are some of the strongest ribbed branches I’ve seen with only a few exceptions. So far I’m very impressed with how the Grimace twins are doing thanks for the read!!!

Well, that’s how you earn lifer. Good on him. I had the same thing happen but with my dirt vendor, he had a test in his green house, he showed me, he steered me away from the pricey product, to one that just better for less. He earned a ton of respect from me that way. I don’t go anywhere else, been like that for years. Some folks, are about being honest, and legit. It’s rare, but the real McCoy vendors are out there.

Much Respect for him no doubt

Day 41 of flower starting to get really fragrant!

I think my tall plant is a long flowering sativa...this mf seems like it'll be clost to a 90 dayer

Are baby lace wings damn near microscopic at first? I found on my leaf I'm pretty sure

I also have CBD Afghan, Fast Gorilla Glue, Purple Diesel Daze and Apple Crumble.
But the mosquitoes were attacking en masse and I couldn't stay out there any longer.
Also, our temps are almost 90! (I know we are wusses in Michigan) 🫤

Haha i def need a microscope. They are about a 1/4inch - 1/2 inch when a larva.

Another week another photo dump.
Some fox tailing going on but the buds are forming up nice besides that. They are loving the feedings of open sesame, beastie bloomz and cha-ching. Looking forward to possibly starting to cut the first plant down at the end of the monthz
