i have left my garden many many times over the last six years 6 weeks at a time. What is crazy is sometimes it comes out insane. Better than me. Not asking for help on that. Lost a crop once but it was because the pump came off the hose. And i always have it duct taped except that time. Friend comes by 2 times a week. Shit fucks up dont blame your friend. Keep it simple. Idiot proof. That is why im interested in your style of tree growing.

All i am asking is does your straight perilite perform as well as DWC. I think you said yes. HOw do you do this? All you do is drip 24 hours a day, four drippers. How big a pump for how many buckets. Straight drip? No GPH thing on it? Airrate the shit out of res. 6 gallon buckets in another bucket. No water at all in the bottom of drain bucket? No airstone in drain bucket. Water returns to Res. Not drain to waste. Straight Perilite. I see your growing trees. HOw do you space. How often to you water when veg. How long veg in those tubs. How long veg in flower room?

If you could tell me if i got it right i would really appreciate it. Anything i missed or you could add would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot and have a good one. I guess after this post i can finally pm now.

budfriend. that's a lot of q's. yup, top drip 24/7. 4 drippers per 6 gal bkt. recirc. top bkts drilled with 1/4" holes on bottom to keep perlite from falling out. bottom bkt is just a fancy top bkt holder. i get roots that come out of the top bkt but those are not the ones i care about. i get consumption rates of 4.5 gal of h2o per plant in 24hrs consistently during the month or so of peak consumption. that's at 1800ppm (.7 conversion). Currently I'm running a not very heavy yielding Bubba and 2.5 elbs each is not a prob. I'd love to get a big yielding K strain (HA, Larry, Raskal OG, etc.) as i know i can do 3 each without too much issue. veg time is always a function of the plant/pheno. I've got several different veg stages so it's tough to give you an exact estimate of time.

sorry for all the questions. Thanks for patience and anwsering. I have been reading like crazy the last couple days so i guess im in study mode. I want to grow trees and your system sounds so much simplier and less room for things to fuck up. I dont know why people make everything so complicated. That is amazing getting 2.5 with a bubba. damn. That per 1k right

I have 7 weeks to get everything together although i already have most of it and figure it out. Sorry i have a few more questions or do you know of a thread i can go to. Every perilite i see is hempy drain to waste.

1. Do you drip 24/7 in veg.
2. on the drippers do you have GPH flow control in either stage veg or bloom. In bloom are you trying to move the solution around as much as possible?
3. How many plants per light and what do you think is the best set up for 6 lights in a 8by 12 area. The whole thing can get filled up as i have everything else outside the room.

Im thinking

0 0
o o
o o
or
x o x o x

x o x o x

x o x o x

It does not matter to me wheather i have 9 or 12 as im allowed more just what works best.

As far as you wanting the HA or Raskel. I just got a cut of the Raskel from cali connect seeds so we will see about that one. And the HA i supposedly just got that to but we will see. I asked the guy five times at least and he swore it was legit and he has always had legit cuts. He would only give me one so that does say something. First time he would only let me have one. Dont know where you are at but if you pm me i can point you in the right direction.

Thanks and have a good one

Q #1 was answered already on this page.

Q #2 I use 2gph pressure compensating drippers. Perlite has great capillary action. 4 drippers per 6 gal bkt. They don't actually flow at 2gph as they need higher psi than most pumps deliver. About 1 drip per second to start up to almost 2 drips per seconds at peak consumption.

Q #3 An 8' x 12' area is obviously, because of the multiples of 4, best for 4' on center spacing. 2 plants wide x 3 plants long. 600s along the walls and maybe 2 1ks down the center. Maybe even 600s down the center due to heat and intensity. Depends on how much cooling and air circulation. 600s all throughout is def easier and would be acceptable.

You should prob start a thread with pics.

Good luck

cool. thanks. Sorry for so many questions about watering but when i first started i used rockwool cubes and always had problems overwatering when they were young even when i was aware of the fact

thanks for your help. I have 6 1k so that is what i am using and am going to put them in cool tubes since i already have them also. Set them up like reef and pikepeek did.

have a good one

1. Do you use perlite in the eurogrowers that your mothers are in?
2. If so, do you recirculate 24/7, or run periodically?

I am switching from coco to big and chunky perlite for the next run of my batos.
I would assume you run them periodically, since they have a reservoir, but thought I'd ask.

3. Homemade cloner?

Thanks for the help!

GH Eurogrowers with Diatomite is my preference for keeping mommas.

Found the answer after I asked.
What is your drip schedule for diatomite?

That door is not just for light. It keeps in stink, co2, temp controlled air, light, etc. IMO, it's works far better than even two regular doors as an airlock.
