I don't know what to make of it. First time growing regulars and this group is telling me it was always a male. Don't know.

after talking to a few forum members and Todd himself, the census is if it starts out as male before it flowers... It's probably a male. We just flipped a week ago and no flower formation of any has begun. It would be different if we had some buds going then balls starting hanging out later down the line.
And since the guy who tested these plants, added caution about #1 (which I mentioned in this thread when I sent them out for testing). I'm now confident that this was not a hermed plant, just a male.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I texted this fellow about it (asking for a confirmation) and he's all beside himself all mad saying I should sue the fucker who sold me the beans ..I'm like man, it was just one plant dude, why you madder than me?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm like whatever,
Lol. They aren’t advertised as feminized seeds. Also I am pretty sure the blanket novelty disclosures cover anything like that. Sorry about the male. I was hoping on growing seven just for this reason but I couldn’t get one to pop in time. Oh and someone else found a dude somewhere on this site today. I don’t remember where, lost in the abyss. Anyway that’s 3 of us . Things come in threes they say. Let’s hope that’s the end of dudes. I looked at in terms of gotta roll the dice, but the leaf testing link looks like a good idea going forward. I am also going to try cloning like you did. I got a great track record of killing em all. Lol.

It's normal to get males with regular seeds, because, well, they're regular seeds. 😊 Now if you got males from feminized seeds...then that's a horse of a different color.
Here is where you want to look when sexing (pic shows female)

Yep, which I why I was surprised to see the balls without flowering. The one which was the twin should be showing balls as they are the same age . Are you referring to the little white thing or the two green things? My male had two green things. Never saw the white thing.

Correct, in that general area, white tails is female, hanging nut sucks is male. I had to look it up and some can show sex way before flipping.

Depending on genetics, your plants should begin to show it's sex somewhere between 3–6 weeks if grown from seed.

But for sure, if they haven't shown it by then, on the flip they will. For my plants it was a week after the flip. I was just in denial about it last night.

Most plants show sex around week 6. Some will show much later. If you're growing from seed for outdoor, you plan on everything showing around 6 weeks from planting the seed.
Some plants will show a female pistil originally, but will still turn full blown male with no signs of any female flower later. I wrote about this in my old thread. It's under Maya42 outdoor ladies. I think it was a super silver haze. The biggest plant in the garden. Other people chime in and confirm that they've had the same thing happen. Sativa in particular can do many crazy things compared to indica.
I have planted thousands of regular seeds and you can absolutely have herms in the genetics.

On my first grow I had a female clone called mystery x. Unknown genetics that hermied. I saw the balls and female. It’s a shame giving them love and then just killing them. You are rolling the dice but at the same time you can get more seeds with a male. It’s something I want to do but not this run. Is your plant showing her goodies yet?

If you mean if they're flowering buds yet, then no. Won't happen till 3 weeks from now. In March is when the Bud Porn begins. (Knock on Wood!)
Yeah, it's heartbreaking to get herms. That shouldn't happen if your getting your beans from a reliable breeder and/or seed bank.
My brother n law gave me two Mexican plants in one gallon pots. I was like cool, two plants...both turned out male...lol! Not hemies... strong nut sacked males...got rid of them asap.
Ive gotten hermies (from feminized seeds) with suspect breeders, it's a strong reason to buy from reputable seed banks.
It happens. Sometimes from our own accord, bad habits that we need to break from. Too cold, too hot, light leaks, etc.

I grew a regular old seed that ended up female. Thing was not very eye appealing. It would ruin your night and give you weed hangover. I didn’t like it. On that one I had a nice pretty one had a different taste. It was good. I think it’s a lot of work to get into for something you don’t like or want.

It is a lot of work and one of passion and love. And when you find that one plant that hits all the marks, you'll remember it the rest of your life.

Briefly talking to Todd here and he dropped some really cool advice on how to sex your plants (from regular seed), I'm blown away how easy it is.

After your (regular seed) plants get about a foot tall, take a cut and get that going straight into flowering schedule, (after it's rooted of course) and within a week or two it will sex. You now know the sex of the plants (that are still in veg). You'll want to obviously tag your cuts to their corresponding mothers.

I wish I had kept the two clones I had in the humidity dome. And the one cut I left outside, out of (the no dicks rule) I pulled it out of the pot and tossed it on the ground this morning (I kept it to test its adaptability to the cold weather outside, for a possible outdoor grow next year). Come to find it on the ground still trying to live..lol, freakn plants are survivors. I'm gonna take this cut straight into 12/12 cycle and see if this thing grows a pair or not.

sOME NERD SHIT GOING ON.

I've read some debates on other boards about doing this. If you think that most plants sex about 6 weeks, not really much time saved by taking a cut, rooting it, then flipping for a couple weeks is the consensus I've come up to🤷‍♂️ Still dope that Todd is so interactive with his customers

Todd is my roll model, he's the guy I clung to when I was young and he was in Amsterdam. We're about the same age. I always thought if we met we'd be the Young Bucks lol. Now we're old.

He's right but if your growing indoor your veg is going to be 4-5 weeks right there. By the time you get a cutting to flower you're already flowering your other plants. Now if you are growing outdoors Todd's explanation is great! Just not for indoors unless you're trying to veg for a long time but who does that? Ya know? Just something to think about.
