Just to use myself (a relatively new grower) as an anecdotal example, i have played with and recorded for myself high adjusting the vpd in my tent cam speed up or slow my vegetative growth. I needed my MACdawg to veg slower so I let them coast 0.8 kpa.

Once again, anecdotal evidence from a new/poor home grower. But my point is still the the same, some learners need the why and hows, not just be told which directions to follow🤷‍♂️
I wouldn’t qualify you as new/poor.
I’d say novice. With a bit of an edge.
You definitely ask the right questions. 👊🏻🤡

No rush! It takes time. I'm just starting myself. Redoing videos and now I stumbled onto a whole new project, in the past 18 hours I've turned a 180. I'm still doing the beginner grow tutorial seed to harvest but I got to fit in a unique breeding project without confusing a new grower.
You too eh? It fixing to get crazy here as well, running 4 reg strains keeping the males in a tent in the attic for pollen. And running the fem photos with a 75 plant fem run. I may split load in veg and slow roll a bunch. Keep them solo bound for a good while to avoid a bottle neck. Bro, do you have a grow thread?

Like you said, you're NOT interested in taking the time to learn it.
Simply why try learning a mystery for a plant that lives three months? This is a good example of why NGs can't grow. They read this and don't know what to think. I posted a pic of perfect seedlings in 35-45 humidity, it was also very cold in that room last night in the 50s. You're talking about 'perfect' conditions and I did the polar opposite.

You are 100% welcome to do a VPD tutorial. I just think teaching something like that to a NG is overkill.

I think you keep forgetting that this topic is about making it easy for NGs.

No, not teaching it, but providing "NGs" with a general understanding of it. How would that be harmful or too much information? They then can learn to dial in their environments (as they should) as the grow. You can show how unimportant it is, but how is sharing knowledge ever bad?

***edited for fat fingers😜
I get it I do, I'm the same way only I absorb the info then go research it on my own. I trust my research over someone telling me.

With that in mind, it's not for us to judge what a NG wants to learn. They'll ask questions or research.

I would rather a "NG" be given the resources and a list of topics that they should research before even germinating a seed. New growers never (me included) never fully calculate the costs involved in this beloved hobby. And I am only referring to hobby growers, not commercial grows, but it is difficult financially to how a bunch of practice grows before they are taught how to actually grow. Instead of giving directions "do this if this," provide links beforehand on materials (printable indexes, charts, diagnosis examples for different problems, etc) so that they can keep and reference for themselves.

No right or wrong way to teach, but things can easily be taught the wrong way. It's been my experience that the learning curve for new processes are generally learned quicker with detailed information to retain ALONG the pracitcal application of the process.

Bro, do you have a grow thread?
No, I guess my video is going to be my first grow diary lol.

All I got is pics of different plants in various stages of life over the past...6ish years. I guess I'm going to start messing with the primary colors of cannabis and landraces...just last week I had a mission to find a couple Slurricane phenos, that changed last night.

Too much info is a givin for NGs. Keep it simple for them.

Harmful because they'll turn out like you lol. There will be NGs like you that have the time to spend learning stuff, including having the time to post and conversate. Not all can do that.

Besides, VPD isn't even critical. I don't follow it at all, wanna see some of my plants and buds? We can compare. Start a thread titled VPD vs no VPD. No one will win because no one will be able to tell the difference.

One thing you don't understand is you came into this world recently. When slick businessmen had their hooks firmly in the market. A lot of useless information was spread to drive sales of useless or wildly overpriced inferior equipment from lights to nutes to everything.

VPD shouldn't even be in our language. Yet here it is. I think you mentioned you started growing a year and a half ago? That's when VPD talk was winding down. Before that it dominated chats for 2 years. We gained a lot of new growers during those years. I watched states like NY and Missouri explode with new homegrowers. Oklahoma and Colorado. And what do they walk in on? Chats dominated by VPD. So naturally, when a new guy walks in and everyone's talking about VPD they immediatly think it's very very important.

First, you have no idea how old I am. Second, understanding the science of the literally oldest science in human society (agriculture) is beneficial ESPECIALLY for new growers

I thought you woulda taken that as a compliment. I've been tired of talking with you about this anyways. This thread is about new growers, keeping it simple.
