your light is a bit close, you should raise it 10 inches,., what light you got and how close is it?
also how much and how often you water?
size of bags/pots?
I’m in 5 gal pots , I water roughly 2litres a pot every other day now ( till run off ) now ! Up untill a couple of days ago I had messed up the watering a bit by not watering till run off but thanks to you guys that’s under control ( see my under watering post . Lights are Mars hydro TSL 200 , if u see my above post you’ll see height and reasoning . Thanks for help bru

It’s like you guys are saving me from disaster day by day . I’ve raised them now to 18 inches and honestly it feels much better . One of the very bottom young side shoots I’d tucked over a daddy leaf had crisped up a bit (looked like light exposure ) so I cut it off but left the stem and it’s sister baby leaf which had minimal crisping . Should I just get rid of it . It’s only a tiddler . I’ll post some overall photos on a bit , got morning chores to do and responding to all your messages

Rest is just as important as tending to them. Give them 4-5 days no touch after topping. I like to give 3 days between any defoliating. I will defoliate and top and LST in the same sitting, but I always allow X days of rest, depending on the amount of work I do in that session. But always give rest after stress for healthy growth.

Allow rest after any of these are performed:
-topping
-defoliating
-nutrient PPM bumps
-transplants
-pushing flower
-after a flush
-light intensity/distance adjustment

I’m obviously joking when I say this but how much bloody rest do they need they sit in the equator all day long sun gazing 😅 No I hear you , I’ll be honest I haven’t applied this as much as I should of because I guess as noob I’ve been putting out fires every other day 🙃😅 I’ve learnt so much last few days ..

Hey bro , yeah this is something I’ve been unsure off honestly as there’s so much conflicting . It’s a Mars Hydro TSL 2000 ( dimmable ) they’re currently sitting between 12/14 inches at 75 percent but I keep moving them up . It’s only at that height because that’s what the vendor suggests in their guides etc . But I’ve been playing around with the idea of raising them to like 16 ? Thanks for your input bru
Bro, I veg at 40% output 30-36 inches above canopy. Less is more in veg
2 vipar p2000 and a spider farmer se3000
I’m also familiar with ts series, I run 2 ts1000 too on my seedling rack….
A lot of space between my lights and canopy at all times. Manufactures specs are garbage.

I measured the DLI and PPFD with photone on my phone ( homemade diffuser etc ) it was reading lower than the margins cited in internet research so honestly I turned them up

I had them physically lower untill earlier anyway so not an issue other than a stressful couple of days for them ! Now to get on top of the VPD 😅 anyway I’m going to leave them as much as poss for a few days . Thanks for all input as ever , has kicked me into gear to get on top of it all or as much as I can

Nice one bru ! So turn down ? Mine is the slim TSL 2000 .. it’s at 75 percent at currently 18 ‘
Raise it too. Look at what mines set at….
They are strong lights homie….
I’d put it up to 24 inches at least. And crank it back to 40% output or lower.

I don’t use dli, vpd ppfd Any of that jazz.
Never needed it. 👍🏻

So I’m a newbie using newbie kit kinda so with a mix of mentorship from you guys and @Bdubs ive got the PPFd set at around 450 and gunna keep it at 18’ and continue to LST untill flower I presume . I don’t want to muck about with their Sun much more as they’d had a stressful couple of days . I hear what your saying , I’m mostly responding to the raw data If I’m honest as I play about with knowing what’s right . I appreciate your input though , it’s good to know their are nuances to it all

I don’t really see what’s bold about sticking to general recommendations in regards to data but thanks for the veiled compliment anyway !

Pro tip. Follow general outlines is what gets people in trouble. Your gonna roast them ladies all grow….i tried. Kinda odd to inquire and be odd about it when people try to help. Later.
