shit lookin right Mystre.Pharmer! it will be a jungle in there in a minute!
haha thanks winta, i can't wait till they're big enough to flip to 12/12 :)
mystre farmer sweet grow. i've never grown thseeds hdf... however, i save the sites of my favorite grows, and big toke has grown it. you can read the journal
here... he grew it along with ss ak47, and said hdf didn't even compare to ak47 in quality, smell, or yield. maybe grow ak47? i'm growing th seeds chocolate chunk and really like the smell though, so maybe hdf is good stuff.
I'll definitely check his grow out, that page 8 the link goes too has his pictures of roots, and damn they are huge! lol i like his system. thanks for the link, ill read it from the beginning when i get some time :)
I like having two main shoots as well... It's like a 2 for 1 deal. There's another way to accomplish that if you have ample time and space... Joe Shmoe used to top a plant, and then clone the top after it grew some more. So this can be intentionally done with some good timing... :cool
Just curious if most shots are taken after the morning feeding? :wondering I've never done aero and I wasn't sure if you constantly or intermittently spray the roots... Seems a bit droopy... How's your humidity levels? I assume they're dialed-in...
I never even thought of topping then trimming, that's brilliant. Them would be some crazy clones :).
most shots are taken the second the lights come on, and during that the very first feeding is happening too.
Here is how i do things and I'd like to hear anyone else's thoughts too: (oh yea, its flood and drain btw ;) )
Im now currently doing a much shorter feeding time length than i used too. I flood for 4 mins, which is enough time for the water to raise to my overflow attachments. I've read that we shouldn't necessarily need to flood for longer than that, and anything more could have negative effects. this is a new concept for me, i used to use those timers that can only do things for 15 minute durations. but I have nice digital timers now so ill be more flexible.
I flood every 3 hours. I thought i might need to increase how often i feed with a shorter cycle, but as of right now i don't think i will need to.
also you know how those bulkhead fittings or ebb and flow parts fit? they screw on and have a very small lip before anything can drain. so I get like 1-2cm of nutrients that will sit in the posts, I don't think that's a huge deal, but i'd like to hear others opinions on that aswell..
so in summery, i flood every 3 hours for 4 mins (enough to totally saturate the roots for a few seconds) My rez has one of those circular air stones from my local hydro store that is aerating 24/7 (which i might get a timer for so its on for like 15 minutes at a time, meaning before and during a feeding the nutes get aerated but not constantly in between feedings, but I'm not sure about that yet)
Also, during veg i don't do a flood at night time but a flood happens near lights off.
I also noticed that my plants looked a little droopy and am not entirely sure as to why. also I only really get in there once at the beginning because I have a house guest at the moment so i really have no time to sneak off and do things in my garden. I want to go in at like mid day and see if they are drooping then.
My humidity is at ~50% during veg.
any thoughts or suggestions would be welcomed :)
