Oh, in any case both el dorado and tropicana cookies have girl scout cookies as one of the parents, which is the one that gives that pungent smell.

didnt know el dorado was a strain lol i named the grow area that cause im after gold lol. and i like the movie.

And it will again, several times probably, even after you chop it during drying and curing. Some strains never know when to stop changing smell hahaha eventually it will have the predominant smell of the strain or a mix of all the ones youre going through now.

i liked her skunky tropical smell this current one idk lol... but after i touch the plant my hands smell diffrent lmao! its kinda nuts

I will take the opportunity to tell you, dont panic if you cant smell it at some point, your weed is fine. The fact that you can smell it means the terpenes are evaporating and thats also natural under sunlight, they regenerate them during the dark period (but cant keep up if the light is too close). If youre drying at low temps like me, around 5-9ºC, you wont smell a thing until you grind it and it will hit you like a punch then.

They smell lemony and/or sweet right? Hahaha, limonene is one of the most prevalent terpenes in all strains.

hmm.... interesting... no i havent smell lemon currently id almost ping it for mold but there is no sign of it... more earthy currently... the tropical smell is after i touch her.

They do and during drying/curing too. It’s one of my favorite aspects about cannabis.

My favorite is pepper transition to lemon to pine. The Critical Autos smelled quite earthy during grow then floral during dry and now pine cured. It's actually really wild. I love it.

SMALL update... my plant has gnats.... i dont want to do anything to the soil were to close to harvest and i rarly have and drain off. what are my options

You are still not close to harvest and the amber is caused either because of stress or its only on the leaves. That plant is looking mighty fine <3 but it still has Id say 1 month to go or a little bit less.

a month... damn ive been growing her since nov lmao owell.... are the gnats something to worry about?

Get some diatomaceous earth and mix it with new soil and top dress with it after watering. You want the new soil you top dress with to be slightly white when youre done mixing. Probable a tbspn or two would be enough.
