I know there are tons of people doing this. I personally know it takes more research than looking at jackmayoffer, usually one has to submerse themselves into a 10-20 lighter for a year or two to get things down then they expand. I'm in Cali, and people do this, tis true.
Obviously no easy task but you make it sound like anyone with $$ can do this, that's where we disagree.

I think where we turn down different roads is where you say, Quoted from bobby: "I think this is a great discussion, because this should be the goal of all the farmers here on the site."

I just don't find that practical or realistic is all. Most the folks on here are here cause they like gardening and they like smoking cannabis....I really don't hope the goal of all farmers on here is to make it rich...

hey guys i just bought (100) 1000w ballasts and am setting up my warehouse.. I've decided to grow 200#'s a run. Can someone tell me the difference between hps and mh?? Oh and how much AC do I need?? thanks for your cooperation!

The orange lights like street lamps are really good ones, not sure what they call them,it's not really important.......no need for AC's >>>Cannabis likes it HOT!
The hotter the better:) AC's are a waste of money>> you could buy some new pimped out clothes and a new ride with that cash
Sounds like you're on your way to fame and fortune Dirk:cool:
Dirk don't do it the wrong way, LED that shit up!!
WORD!
That's my plan baba
10,000 LEDS hangin in an abandoned strip mall.........
gonna automate it all including the harvest and trimming and run it all from my beach house in the Bahamas with my IPAD

I was skeptical this could be done but after learning BarnBoys techniques this was way too easy........

I'm just trying to figure out how to spend all this money now.....

Dude, I run all my rooms from a cruise ship, and when needs be I stop by one of my warehouses and pick up a p for me and the captain of the boat. Then we keep rolling on the open water, fuck I've got 20' tall landrace sativas up on the top of the boat just for looks:D
I didn't wanna troll the Bobby but 1pound a 1kw light is nothing to shoot for. It's pathetic imo

So I guess those 20 foot tall landraces up top aren't rare LANDRACE CHINESE unobtainable skunk bear coffee dwarf plants.......
Yeah I didn't think so........:D

Personally I shoot for 2-3 oz's a light and I gotta say I usually succeed:)

Drive the boat on over and we'll have a little sesh today captain!

Sometimes I can pull a couple oz's off the monster sativas, but the damn bird poop keeps hitting my prime nuggies!

I think you are missing the fact that he can only work with 99 plants and wants to achieve 100 lbs. If you wanted to try and grow 100 lbs with 60 lights and 99 plants, you have to attain 1.7 lbs per plant. That isn't a safe bet. You're better of betting on 1 lb per plant per light.

I think this is a great discussion, because this should be the goal of all the farmers here on the site.

But I would like to set the expectation straight for anyone reading this, because it's a great business concept/problem and there are tons of folks out there who can afford to attempt this. They simply don't because they don't have all the details. Who wouldn't invest in a $300k business, if they make their money back in 4-5 months? Especially if it's all within legal plant limits? I think every rich prick out there would be doing this if they knew the details and how to pull it off. By the time a federal investigation even begins, you've already doubled your money and your attorney fees are only $350 an hour. But with 99 plants, the feds won't even get called in.

To stay within the 99 plant limit and harvest 100 lbs, you'll need $300k and a 5000 square foot warehouse. Every one should do this, period.

I don't want everyone doing runs like this, that would flood the market and the value of cannabis would plummet. Anyways every rich prick can't do it because the 99 plant limit is not the same in every medical marijuana state. I'm on the east coast so I'm not too familiar with laws in other states, but not many states have a 99 plant limit, most states have a limit of under 20 plants. Another thing is most people don't have that kind of money to invest, and if someone did have something close to it you wouldn't wanna invest ALL your money into one bussiness. So you would need double or triple the $300k so you would only invest half or 1/3 of your money. The few rich people that do have that kind of money wouldn't wanna invest in something that is deemed illegal by the Federal Government, because that messes up there connections with politicians and so on. Sorry bout that I kinda rambled on there, anyways, all I know is I don't want everyone doing this, it would ruin the market.

It's happening and that's why the prices are steadily decreasing like 5-10% each year.

Prices are slightly decreasing because more patients are starting to grow there own, not because everyone is doing 100 lb. runs.

Yeah, I agree with that bobby, the production is higher than ever, especially in Cali.
But the production of high grade is far from flooding the market, leaving a nice niche for growers that care and realize that putting in the time and using certain techniques are well worth it. If you go to any club in socal or norcal or anywhere in cali, you'll notice most of the varieties don't move off the shelf much. they just need a bunch of names, now if you were to look at all the 50+ strains they have, you'll find 1-3 worth buying usually...Granted I'm picky but so is anyone who is willing to pay more for the so called best or best available at that moment.

You heard right dirk, bird shit has done me right for years now :) and I'm pretty lucky buddy....

On another note >>no worries on the leaf eating gerbels>>I'm GMOing the Chinese Land Race genetics to be gerbel resistant
You can thank me later...........:)

Prices are slightly decreasing because more patients are starting to grow there own, not because everyone is doing 100 lb. runs.

I think it's exponential for both hobbyist growers and commercial growers. Yes, more patients are growing their own, but they need to off their crappy product, so they let it go for cheap to pay bills.

100 lb runs, lots of people are doing it these days. Do the numbers on jackmayoffers grows. he runs 60 light warehouses and pulls 2+lbs all day long...and he has multiple warehouses. He easily crops out more than 100 lbs per month, every month. He's not hiding it, but most of the other folks out there probably are for security reasons.

It's not just him. No disrespect to Jack because he's obviously the man...but it's not rocket science to pull off huge grows. You simply need the cash, an internet connection and good work ethic.

Try calling the commercial real estate brokers in the warehouse districts of anywhere in la...ask them how many people call asking for large grow spots. You will trip out when speaking with them. Search on craigslist for warehouses in la...landlords specifically have to put "no growing" in the posts because so many people are renting warehouses to grow....it's pretty crazy.

bobby don't even start about patients offing their crappy product>>there's just as much low quality schwag being produced by MMJ providers......
Some of the worst quality MEDS in my state come from MMJ producers not the patients or black market....

Some of my patients grow far superior MEDS in comparison to a lot of MMJ providers........

The bottom line is if you need to come on a Cannabis website and ask basic questions regarding a large grow >>you don't have the knowledge or skill to pull it off......

Yes bobby, there are people growing 100's of lbs. a year, but earlier you said that everyone should do it. First off its impossible because everyone doesn't have the money, also when you look at all the growers in America the majority are not pulling yields that big. So we are not gonna have an argument that makes no sense, the point is if everyone grew 100 lbs. per run it would crash the medical marijuana market, thats the point I was trying to make.

So, let me get this straight, you need an internet connection to grow big? You must be in the concrete jungle!
I hate to assume but I'm guessing you are a new age grower, the folks I learned from still don't use that internet crap...
