@green bastard

The cloning tips you gave are much appreciated. I am certain they will prove to be invaluable, in the future.

Can anyone help me locate or identify some genetics? I use to get this stuff called 'Halloween' back in high school. Dark green with obnoxiously bright orange hairs. Some some the best looking and smelling stuff I have ever tried. Does anyone know where I can obtain these genetics or possibly identify them? I am sure someone just slapped a suitable and appealing name on it.

Your name means 'The Puppet', correct? My Spanish is a bit rusty, but I believe your name translates to 'The Puppet' or 'The Doll'. Pretty dope!
Lol! It translates to "The Maniac"... It's a nickname from childhood. Long story but I'm sure you could imagine why. Let's jus say I was a fearless person.
Thanks for that priceless info, I will definitely keep that in mind. You sure have a lot of knowledge that many people could use to better theirselves in growing.
What are you majoring in?

I really wish i could make a reasonable living off of my hobby. I for one don't feel comfortable with just trading-in law school to be a commercial grower, lol. Lets say it was even viable, the risks are too great. My parents would execute me if I told them I was perusing my dream as a marijuana grower, I'd be totally cut-off at the very least.

I really do wish there was a way, tho. I have just been giving my crop away to friends because I love to get their feedback and opinion on my work, nothing pleases me more than when they are just like 'This is the best shit I have ever smoked!' And nothing motivates me more when they say 'I have had better.'
ahh, my question is answered... Law school, wow. That's awesome !

First I was majoring in communications, but then i found out that it is one of the majors that are least favored to see by law school admision boards, their most favored being hard science majors, like geology and shit (go figure), Eng., history, but they really like hard science majors, so I switched it to bio, then organic chemistry, but am thinking about switching back to bio or botany.

It works out well because I love science, I always had a fascination with playing god. Anyways, I won't try to lie, I crave money and power, lol. Nah, my dad is an attorney and has multiple firms, so it is just practical for me to go into law. I just want to make a very comfortable living, not have to work very hard and practice my hobbies, travel the world... Again.... A few mistresses doesn't sound bad, either, lol. Don't get me wrong, civil litigation is facinating and everything, but I look at my dad and think 'fk, is that what this life has in store for me? All my hopes and dreams will boil down to concerning myself with, and resolving, other people's problems and financial disputes?' I'm a conflicted mother fkr... Actually, these thoughts only started when I started smoking more often, lol.

I figure a law degree couldn't hurt. My dad is also an entrepreneur and being a lawyer helps him in basically everything... Now that I think about it, he is hardly an attorney, more like an attorney on the side. I notice that you find attorneys in almost every field, like almost every president was an attorney, the dude who runs TMZ, the owner of Yo Gaba Gabba. Basically anyone in any position It makes a good stepping stone.

I'm having a mid-life crisis at 23 years old, lol.

My uncle told me 'Your dad is a gangster, in the truest sense of the word', he basically does whatever the fk he wants, whenever the fk he wants. He makes cops cry. So I guess that is pretty cool. I wouldn't mind punking people on a day-to-day basis, in a professional manner, ofcourse.

It is so reactive. If I don't feed cal for like 2 days, you can see it immediately. More control = me getting off to playing god, lol.

I have always wanted to raise a culture in a petre dish and then introduce a second culture and watch them fight. An ant farm would probably be more entertaining. Hey, if you are into science and evolution and stuff, check out 'Conway's Game Of Life', it is incredible. I could get high and watch it all day long. It is just little squares, governed by only 3 laws and from those 3 single laws, you get some pretty remarkable results. Cells preproducing, coming into being and then extinguishing. They theorize that life started in a similar way, that life is the result of simple physics. Everything we are and everything we see is just molecules reacting with one another, becoming more complexed. If you are not already into science and stuff, it may seem a little abstract... Or if you have never experimented with pshycadelics, lol.

Last year I went to the 'Indoor Gardening Expo' in Long Beach. I advise EVERYONE to attended if they can. I will seriously never have to buy nutes again. It was like a movie, my car was literally packed with nutes. All the big names where there (most of them, anyways); GH, Emerald-Triangle, Earth Juice, etc. (sorry if I got their names fkd up and I am actually naming one of their products), but anyways, it was amazing and so much fun. I found my preferred nutrients there: Primordial Solutions and Cutting Edge Solutions. They really make some great nutes.

They had agricultural consultants who consulted vineyards, orchards and large cannabis grow ops. One consultant told me about his tests with mycorrhizae and that anything over 50ppms actually saps carbon from your plant! I have been doing my research and I believe he is right. The increased nutrient uptake simply doesn't justify the carbon cost. It becomes parasitic and leaches carbon from your plant.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3115185/

And this isn't the only article, there are tons of them.

I for one only use mycorrhizae and beneficials for cloning.

My own personal hypothesis is that the bacteria and fungi in the media, in large enough quantities, will make oxygen less available to the root zone because they consume oxygen (the fungi and aerobic bacteria, anyways). I will still use beneficials, just in very small amounts. I believe a lot of cultivators are guilty of overuse of mycorrhizae and beneficials.

Anyways, back to my main point, free shit! I got a tent with a 400w HPS/MH (bulbs included) with a remote ballast for $99! The tent is like 2' deep, 4' long and about 5'6" tall. Not a bad deal if you ask me! If you get the opportunity, GO! I just want to help my fellow growers save money. I have a nutrient stockpile (coco, hydro, soil specific) that I could probably hand-down to my children, lol. If shelf-life permits. I am trying to use the organic stuff, first, before it goes bad, but I don't much like 'organics'.... And ill tell you why, later.

Got my metadata scrubber setup!!!

I feel so safe, it's dangerous! Once I get setup and settled-in, I will have more of the laboratory setup that I desire, something more conducive to R&D. For now, it is solo cups, lol. It works, I won't knock it.

OG Chem F looks like she is gonna die on me. During the move, I neglected them for a day, water seemed to collect in that corner of the tote and over saturated her. OGC F grew very long and fell over, I cut a piece of straw and put a slice lengthwise and put it around her stem to help support her, but it was all in vein. She looks to be a goner :\

More pics when I can get to my spot. I'm gonna try to stop-by today.

Okay, the reason why I do not like 'Organics':

Like I said previously, traditionally, organic simply means carbon based or containing carbon (the definition has been broadened recently to include hydrogen, like most organic compounds will contain hydrogen and oxygen, as well. Some text books will say that if it does not contain hydrogen, it is not organic. I was taught that it must contain a carbon-hydrogen bond to be considered organic, but that is opening-up a whole new can of worms that I'm not trying to get into... Yet.)

Lets pretend I am a nutrient company, as long as my shit contains carbon, I can market it as 'Organic'.

Here is where people are probably gonna get pissed-off at me:

So we all know that marine animals can contain high levels of mercury and other nasties, right? The further up the foodweb you go, the higher the concentration.

Have a look, here, see:

Image

We use fish emulsions, bird shit, bat shit, all kinds of shit that contain high levels of mercury, cobalt, just all kinds of bad shit, to fertilize our plants. So you put that shit into your buds!!! It is what is used to grow your children's food! When you work your ass off to spend that extra amount of money to buy 'Organic' because you want them to be healthy and eat well. But it doesn't end there! The crops they grow for livestock aren't usually fertilized with the best of fertilizers. Do you know how much a mercury a fkn cow can accumulate?! I have no fkn idea, I'm not a farmer, lol, but I know that it is a lot. Anyways we use 'steer' shit to fertilize our herb. Blood meal, that high grade organic fertilizer? Yea, that's usually pigs blood. Bone meal, all that shit.

I digress, I prefer what some may call 'inorganic' or 'chemical' nutrients. By definition, pure water is a chemical! Inorganic simply means lacking carbon or carbon-hydrogen bonds. This shit is clean (if sourced properly), nitrogen is precipitated from the air, literally pulled from thin air, phosphorus is mined from underwater deposits and land deposits, potassium is mined from land deposits and shit. When they are extracting or collecting a very specific element, compound or molecule/substance, they extract specifically for that. Like, when they precipitate nitrogen, they are getting pretty pure shit. When they collect organics it is just like 'here is a pile of shit, lets put it in a bottle and call it organic. What's inside of it, you ask? Who the fk cares, it's organic, bitch. How dare you even question our healthy green movement, fk you! You must be a relative of the Bush family, you corporate cocksucker!' (Fkn California with its dumbass hipsters who like to talk about shit that don't understand or comprehend. I will literally say 'I do not know enough about the subject to form an opinion' when asked what i think about something i dont understand or am not knowlegeable in, I just don't feel comfortable trying to talk about shit I don't know about and prematurely forming an opinion, that is how you get exploited and used, when some dude gets you to form an opinion about shit you don't know about.)

'Organics' are the biggest marketing scheme of our generation and I suspect that it is to blame for the spike of autism and birth defects and shit. When I was a sophomore, I did a huge presentation on this and explained in fking detail for about an hour, all this shit. Everyone was like 'omg, that's so bad' and went back to playing WOW or Facebook or whatever the fk they were doing. Don't take my word for it, google this shit, do your own research, the evidence is out there. Organics aren't bad, they just need to be sourced properly, not by fking stoners who decide they want to open a nutrient company. If I hear one more time 'I just want to share my knowledge and teach people how we grow, the right way, organically.' I'll stab that mother fkr in the neck!

Or don't even listen to me, but the next time someone is like 'You used something that wasnt organic?!?' I'm gonna be like 'SO THE FK WHAT MOTHER FKR!!! Do you even know what that word means?!?!' And proceed to throat stabbing, lol.

End rant.

I won't lie, I use organics, lol. But I also use what some would call 'inorganic' or 'chemical' ferts/nutes. I know how to read a fking label, I wouldn't intentionally poison myself.

In the end, these are just some thoughts that formed in my head that I did research on and formed an opinion on. I could be wrong, do your research, find out for yourself, form your own opinion. I'm just some fkr on the Internet.

It is funny because one of my buddies, a fellow grower and researcher, has a bunch of females in his house; wife, daughters, relatives, etc. and he says he notices a difference when he uses certain hormones. He did an experiment, when he used a product that will remain unnamed, he noticed a lot of conflict in his home; he hypothesized that the hormones he was using where throwing off the hormonal cycles of the females in his house; causing hormonal imbalances and whatnot. When he switched to another hormone, everything went back to normal. He now claims that he can control the conflict in his home by what kinds of hormones he uses in his bud, vegitables and fruits, lol. Dude turned his home into an experiment, lol! Fkn awesome.

I'm not an abrasive asshole or anything, I just have 'cheeky' thoughts that never usually leave my mouth, but online they come out. If you met me in real life, you would be like 'wtf? That's the gnarly ass dude online always ranting and talking to himself?' I'm very, calm, calculated, composed... Rather boring, actually. So thanks for indulging me, guys.

First day of Spring semester starts today, catch y'all later!

When I return, I should have some update pics and I will attempt to explain the breeding process to the best of my ability. I hope to give a step-by-step example by documenting my own breeding project. 'Project OG'.
