Hello everyone,
I thought I would make this thread showing some pictures of some of my processes, equipment and of course concentrates. I would love some feedback, comments, likes and advise, as I am always tying to improve processes and quality.

These pictures are a run from 24 grams of Diesel. My return was 4.78 grams of some great Shat! I did this run for my Dad who has stage 4 Lymphoma. He quit chemo because it was killing him faster. He started using oil and went into remission for a while. It has since came back and again he is using concentrates to self medicate. He is feeling much better. Praise God!
I used a glass tube for this small run with Whip-It Premium as my solvent. I blasted OUTSIDE into a air temp. Pyrex dish. I waited 30min and added 100 degree hot water bath. It took about 35min to evaporate the solvent enough to bring indoors. I let my oil get to 89 degrees and took it out of the hot water bath. I then covered it with plastic wrap and let it sit overnight. The next morning I removed the plastic wrap and put back in to a hot water bath of 90 degrees. I did not let it get over 90 degrees. Removed from hot water bath and let cool down to room temp. Scraped up the oil onto Parchment and put in my 3 gallon Vac chamber with digital heat pad. Started with no heat, I left the muffin alone until it fell on its own. I left it overnight in the chamber. I then started the heat at 95 degrees and slowly raised the heat as necessary. It all depends on the strain that I am working with as to what temps I can achieve without buttering. I never go higher than 120 degrees. Unless I want Butter or Honeycomb. It was in the vac for 22 hrs with heat.
I will be adding more photos and comments as I am able..
Thanks for reading my Thread! Cheers!

Why do you wait 30 mins to add hot water? *Personally never liked using hot water near butane, as the solvent tends to pick up some of that h20 and deposit that into your oil..

The way i did it was similar but instead of blasting into a cold dish, I took my skillet outside turned it to the desired setting put the dish on top let it get warm then i blasted right into that solvent was gone in a few mins, move that to the vac and once most of the solvents gone then i scrape transfer to parchment and finish the job.

Never took 22 hours of vac and heat...

If your still vac'ing because your seeing tiny little bubbles those are decarboxylation bubbles, the solvent boils off at a pretty low temp, coupled with vaccume pressure it don't take more then an hour or so to remove all the solvent...

The higher the heat and longer you vaccume the more terpenes your loosing by sucking them out.

Otherwise looks like some nice product :D

I waited 30 min on that run because my ambient air temp was evaporating the tane. I did not know that Butane will pick up the H2o? I guess I am too careful, I never use any electrical devices while blasting or evaporating.
I will definitely give it a go with the Pyrex on the griddle instead of the hot water bath. At what temps are your plate or griddle set at? I used to blast in to a warm Pyrex dish, but I kept getting auto butter? I have no auto buttering since I quit blasting in to a warm dish? I did let it sit in the vac under pressure without the vac pump running overnight then 2.5hrs heat then 1.25hrs heat after flip. I didn't have it on heat for 22hrs. My mind is slipping I guess. I re read my original post so I see where I made the mistake on my comment. I only vac until the butane is gone, then I get it out of there.
I really appreciate your feedback! I by no means are a pro.

Temps were set below what the dial would actually register, Temp gunned it between 80 and 105.. You'll have to fiddle with the dial some.

Sounds like your dish was too hot if you were getting auto butter. Only time ive ever had a strain auto butter on me was when i threw it in the vac and threw the vac in the direct sun light heated up the chamber too hot n poof yellow cookie!

Glad to hear you didn't have it on heat for that long :D

Temp gun if you don't have one get one very handy then just keep an eye on the temps of the dish and never exceed the maximum temps for the specific strains your running, I always found sativa dominant strains tend to tolerate a higher heat up to i think 120 was the max before shit went wax or budder, maybe a little less.. Give or take a few degree's, and indica's would tolerate much less heat prefer closer to the 100 range.

In the end whatever method gets you the product your looking for without removing too much good stuff from the oil, then go with that method :D
