GT do you have a temp gun?I'm wondering what the temp of the top of your toaster oven is?I'm shaking for the right amount of time, has to be temperature.
The temp on the 150 degree surface is way lower than the temp after pyrex and a fan. You can can heat gun it all you want.......... low and slow broGT do you have a temp gun?I'm wondering what the temp of the top of your toaster oven is?I'm shaking for the right amount of time, has to be temperature.

I'm using 99.9 ISO I bought on eBay and I use about 1/2 of a quart jar of ISO to 3/4 of a quart jar of trim that is mostly popcorn bud with sugar leaf mixed in.I compost everything but the prime trim.Freshone,
are you using iso or everclear and how much?
are you washing trim or flowers ? and how much at a time?
what is your humidity at?
Thats a good point about humidity. .. we are in winter and the air is not very dry.Freshone,

That rso is named RICK SIMPSON OIL because of a recipe.Technically, wouldn't an iso extraction be deemed a type of rso? Minus using naphtha like he uses? Mine is super super thick after evaping the etoh.
rso has gone through the decarboxylation process where heat and enough temperature has been applied for sufficient time,Technically, wouldn't an iso extraction be deemed a type of rso? Minus using naphtha like he uses? Mine is super super thick after evaping the etoh.
rso has gone through the decarboxylation process where heat and enough temperature has been applied for sufficient time,
what we are doing here has not been decarbed.
heres a picture of thin dried layer of rso in the container i used doing the final decarb process when i made rso.
left out long enough to dry i think what we are getting will become shatter consistency just like the picture.View attachment 654994
and scraped up

The smell was getting pretty strong in the house on the toaster oven. Moved it out to the garage and set it on a heating pad. Took about 15 hours for the whole pan to evap. I used all purple strains and the final color is pretty dark.
When it was done, I scraped it out with a razor blade and put in one of those silicone cupcake molds and set it back on the toaster oven for a bit. Melted it all into 1 nice round slab and was easy to remove since it don't stick to silicone.
I'll be doing this with all my trim from now on!
Oh yeah, I got 2 gallons of 99.5% iso for $32 (includes shipping) here:
