theres lots of research on Cyanobac happening mate, its a wonderful part of a clever system.

Abstract
Three groups of cyanobacteria are recognized on the basis of their organic osmotica and upper salinity limit for growth. In general, the least halotolerant forms accumulate disaccharides, while cyanobacteria of intermediate halotolerance synthesize the heteroside glucosylglycerol and the most halotolerant isolates accumulate betaines in response to salt stress. However, certain strains also accumulate additional organic solutes, depending upon the growth temperature, the ambient salinity and the duration of salt stress.

plus they convert a special form of lipid which enables the thykaloid membrane, allowing plants to better use light energy (galactolipids)

was just thinking of you yesterday,23 degrees, lazy ass deer arent even trying to move, lmao, but was looking at the property here, were the boys shot fireworks and all,and stood back and looked at the place, with everything dead or dying from frezze conditions,i have trails over trails of deer paths, look like i raise cattle,so was thinking your hog problem,if you could get a topo map of you property and uinder these cold conditions, every thing lays down,be a great time to look at a over view of your place, them hog trails will stick out like a sore thumb, and there is always a in and out these filtered trails come to,and set up a serious trap for them ,bam bam they gone were they stand, lmao

its not cold enough to terminate crops here right now, everything is still growing, plus we are heading for drought i think, no water here, this will be the thing that stops the life. Plus the paths between the trees make it harder, they dont have anything to trample, just woodchips.

This is masanobu style straight up...cool shit. Free range chickens to eat the grubs and fertilize the plants. They also keep the soil scratched.

you'll have to tell me if this is useful to you--don't have personal experience with covering beds nor amending soils with woodchips so i'm not sure--but i've ridden horses my whole life and most stables with indoor barns use untreated woodchips for stall bedding and have large piles that sit for years. the piles are always only woodchips and no more than two days worth of each horse's urine and manure. there's always open access to the very bottom of the piles...thought it might be useful info

I tend to go by the birds if you feel me. If i dont see birds in my fields, i know there is a problem and that my life is about to get stressful as a farmer :-)

there in lies the problem with fundamental organics, the material is not in the places its needed, shipping prevents the relocation of good media and amendments, some have loads, too much, others no access at all, it is a metaphorical compost pile of doo doo. how to solve the relocation without carbon and cost overhead rendering it a non solution to apply the levels of compost we actually need
