Damn can’t believe I missed this lol, been outta the loop for awhile just barely able to water the girls, glad I’m back and can enjoy these excellent grows along with you all!
Dec 14,
I've been pulling the girls out of the tent this week one by one and letting them sit in the shade for 2-3 days while I trim them up to dry. I've hung my GSC photo and Bubble Bomb up to dry in my 3x3 tent that I moved to a cooler part of my basement away from my grow lights. I pulled 1 GSC auto out today and I'll pull the other tomorrow. I gave them their last water yesterday with 1 tsp/ gallon Epsom Salts. One of our members recommended a 300-350ppm magnesium flush to assist burning qualities.

I also transplanted my a GG#4 and a Gelato that I've vegged for almost 5 months into 5 fabric gallon pots from 3 gallon. I was afraid it would be difficult to remove the 3 gall fab pot off the plant but the stalk is big enough that I was able to pull it out once I loosened the old pot from the fabric bag. I've had to cut 1 gallon pots off and toss them but I was able to salvage the 3 gal for another use.

These 2 girls are going to be huge, I have them all bent over and stretched out and I've ordered 2 - 5 x 5 nets that are supposed to be here before the 25th and with these 2 plants I'm going to need 2 nets soon

A few pics of my Bubble Bomb ,Gsc photo & the pretty GSC/ Jamaican auto.

Stunning as always PC, I love your pictures and quality overall in your grows!
Thanks man its mostly the strains......You look at that pretty Gsc auto and go wow like I do but don't look at the Gelato in the corner, she didn't get treated well and her buds are pretty airy...sticky but airy and the last time I grew out her mother she had nice think hard buds so I fked up....She's a great producer though, she has a lot of buds and I've a clone off her mother that is now almost 5 months in veg so I should be able to keep a good Gelato supply off the next one...

I hung the Gsc photo this am and I pulled all the large leaves off a Gsc/Jam auto with it standing on my bench, I'll trim it down tomorrow & pull out Gsc/Jam A #2.

I took a few pics of my hps flowering girls, Alaska Thunderfuck, FruityOg, QC Blue, Quebec Blast and Biscotti Skunk. @ almost 4 weeks in flower,

My Gsc/ Jam A #2 & Gelato @ 9.5 weeks.
A few more of a Gsc/jam

Hey Piper, may I ask what is the exhaust is placed into? Looks like a container, plastic, for what reason and where you get the idea. I believe it's treating the air to help with the smell. Thank's in advance,Cheers SS

That is just a $1 store vegetable bag as a bug / dust filter. I have that on my input air but I have that fan shut off now and I'm just using passive. In the Summer I need to add cooler air and I've that line going out to a sub basement / oil tank room without heat in it bring in cooler air.

no time limit that I know of. I've 2 clones now 5 months old not flipped yet.....I've flipped at 6 weeks but most go 2+ months.......clones or from seed. I take cuttings then flip the mothers, when they are done in 2+ months I take clones off the kids then flip and continue the cycle...in a perfect world......but most do go 2 months at least for me.....

Thanks Pipe Carver. I've only cloned once before with cannabis, but I watched and learned from my mom as she took "cuttings" from her gardening roses, vegetables Ect. I can do 4 weeks as the trainwreck in the 4x4 is just 4 weeks into flower this Sunday,Cheers SS

Today I was busy in my grow room, I hung my 2nd Gsc/jam after trimming her up yesterday, I now have 4 drying and my Gelato sitting or I should say leaning over a back seat in my basement. I pulled the Gelato out then cleaned the tent and filled it back up again.

I now have in the tent a GG#4 clone 5 months old in a 5 gallon pot & another Gelato also 5 months old and in a 5 gallon pot. These 2 girls have been abused and were kept in 1 gallon pots, neglected & forgot about. I'd water when I saw them hanging and feed left over feed from other plants.

After my last harvest 2 months ago I finely had room for them so I transplanted them into 3 gallon pots and started looking after them. Wow they took off, I've bent them over a number of times, broken some bones but they've healed and kept growing towards the light.

I also have 2 Gsc clones from the Gsc I just harvested and an AK47 / Blackberry that was started back with the other bunch of QCseeds but was slow off the start so I kept her back. Once she decided to grow she grew well and I had to bend her over as well to fit in my closet.

I took 2 cuttings off each off of them 3 off the AK/Bl and I've them as the only plants in veg so I have them under / along side a single 4ft t5 I normally use for side lighting i with larger plants but it should be perfect for this. I might have to add my heating pad because the single t5 won't keep the space warm enough...coulda shoulda...tomorrow now.

Looking great in here buddy.
Dec 21,
Everything is hanging to dry in my 3x3 tent, I wired a 12v computer fan to a dimmer switch and duck taped it to an exhaust port ( I didn't realize how dirty it is until I saw the pic ) . With passive input I have it at 65f & 60% day time and 63f & 60% night or there abouts. not perfect but much better at this time of year than summer for drying.

I put up a net in my 5x5 tent today, I used 2 - 5' x 1" Bamboo poles for side support to be able to draw the net along the frame then tied off the net at about 3.5 ft so the scrog covers 3.5' x 5ft with 5 plants under it. I made a mess off it pulling branches in,through & around the netting but I've good coverage and a second net if I need it. A Nursery 2km away has the poles for $4.99, It's cheaper & easier for me to use them than ruining a good 8' 2x4 to cut strips. I drilled a hole through them and attached with Zip Ties.

My hps girls are doing great at 5.5 weeks of flower, a bit of a deficiency going into flower and I'm getting some yellowing on the lower & mid leaves on the Quebec blast & Q Blue, bigger bud plants needed more food earlier, next time I'll up their feed, I still have a few seeds of each.

All cutting are still green and perky,,,,,,that's always a good sign for me. Most of my failure's with clones show within a day or 2....its now been 4......fingers crossed the trend continues.

Looking good Pipecarver, the cloning is my study for improvement but 2 out of three tried is 75% success rate. Temps and humidity play a big role in when it's a good time to clone for me as I use my grow room and the humidity has varied greatly for the last 6-7 weeks, I was lucky to get 2 out of three really. Practice makes perfect they say,Cheers SS

I've tried a few different methods to clone, last year I spent around $100 to make a bubble cloner, It worked but not as well as just sticking them in the dirt with a bit of clonex on the cutting. I have a heating pad underneath with some spacers keeping it off plastic bottom and I'm spraying them with H2O and the inside of the dome twice a day. I really only need 1 of each strain so I took 2 off each plant even with a 50% success rate I should have what I want.

I used to have about 50% success rate with various methods. I found a game changer for me and you might not suspect it.

For me the secret is 50 ppfd light levels. Its very low light which makes the food consumption super slow but lets the roots grow.

I found that at the low light levels the humidity didn't matter as much because the plant wasn't trying to move water through its stem for photosynthesis in the leaves.

I'm now around 100% and use rock wool cubes and have perfectly green rooted clones in about 15 days give it take a few days.

Try measuring your light and see how low you can go to keep them healthy long enough to root.

Flowers are beautiful as always! 🍻

Thanks but I only show the pretty ones....lol...I don't show off the failures.....Ya I never have then under brights I'm using a single t5 at a distance and the dome is all yellowed up after years of use, I think that's why my success rate has improved, Shit my last 2 clones I didn't use a dome I just stood them to the side and for got about them 2 died and the other 2 lived I never even sprayed them, they looked like shit but eventually took off. They are a tough breed it takes a lot to kill them outright.

A big storm rolled through here last night, thousands without power but we slipped through unscathed. We were prepared with full generator tank + 15L extra gas & if needed a full tank on my lawn tractor I could siphon if I had too. & lots of smoke seeing as my harvest has dried enough to smoke.

I strung the net and If been tucking in stragglers as I go, the Gelato & GG#4 at the back I've topped and and abuse have both got a lot of bud sites and have migrated across each other & into the front with much smaller leaves. The 2 Gsc are loving the led lights their leaf growth & color this week showed improvement from the first 2 days on along with the AK47/Blackberry taking over the front of the canopy

My hps grow is at 40 days in flower on these pics, they all look great to me and they're starting to show their distinctness from each other, The tall Biscotti Skunk has 4 long spires with not a lot of under growth where as the Alaska Thunderfuck has shorter top buds bud and more packed closer together along the stalks. With 5 different strain growing its hard to get a distinct smell from any bud the basement smells fantastic.
