    Vole Infestation

Fish emulsion sounds like an interesting deferent. I use a lot of stinky amendments and water in fish hydroslate, so hopefully that'll chase some off as the season progresses. I took to building one bed with 1/4" hardware cloth underneath and man, what a pain in the ass. Wish I woulda just...

    Vole Infestation

Lots of owls in the area already. It's about a 3000 square foot area that's full of tunnels. I don't think I'd catch them all.

    Vole Infestation

my outdoor garden is currently a bunch of 6x24 mounds. It's always worked great, but last year I lost one cucumber plant to voles. I set traps and killed about 5 of them. But after this lass winter the grasses and weeds took over the area, and now I'm noticing vole tunnels EVERYWHERE...

    Supersoil Booboo

Well I just got off the phone with a reputable soil science guy and he said there shouldn't be a problem with that amount of hydrated lime. He said it will raise the soil pH a little bit, but adding about half a cup of epsom salts (already in the recipe) or some langbeinite should offset that...

    Supersoil Booboo

I'm sure TLO is a knowledgeable source. I'm really curious how much hydrated lime is used under normal application. I know people water it in at 5ml per gallon to correct acidic soil conditions temporarily. There are old George Cervantes quotes (not the best source I know) saying to add half...

    drip clean and microbial life?

I've noticed that if I add Drip Clean and Sea Green to the reservoir at the same time, Sea Green won't foam up

    Supersoil Booboo

So I mixed up 15 cans of supersoil to subcools recipe and I just realized I added hydrated lime instead of dolomite lime :nailbiting: I've never used hydrated lime before, but I've read it can burn your plants easily if you overdo it. Its also not a substitute for dolomite lime as a soil...

Yellowing 10 days after transplant, abnormally high co2 reading?

Hahaha yes drunk plants would make sense. I wondered about the medium fermenting, just never seen it at that level before. I'm guessing the early compost tea application made an incompletely composted soil mix rapidly inebriate the rootzone and cause weird nutrient issues and high co2 levels...

Yellowing 10 days after transplant, abnormally high co2 reading?

It wasn't a lack of N. The yellowing is on new growth and the veins are green. Also, the same size plants in smaller containers showed no signs of Nitrogen deficiency while being given the same solutions. These are also transplanted into new soil, which should have plenty enough amendments to...

Yellowing 10 days after transplant, abnormally high co2 reading?

So the foliar spray had positive effects and plants went through a healthy growth spurt afterwards. Seems like nobody has any opinions on where the lockout/deficiency came from. Anybody?

Yellowing 10 days after transplant, abnormally high co2 reading?

Correction - Spray n grow is zinc and iron, not zinc and boron

Yellowing 10 days after transplant, abnormally high co2 reading?

I know I didn't wait long for a response, but I went ahead and foliar sprayed with epsom salt at a 5ml per gallon, 0.5ml per gallon of sea green, and a half strength dose of spray-n-grow I've had laying around forever, which is zinc and boron I believe, at 15ml per gallon. Hopefully that...

Yellowing 10 days after transplant, abnormally high co2 reading?

The last picture is of extra clones look like that have been receiving the exact same food/water look like. They are not in the co2 sealed room. All the plants under the trellis looked green and healthy like this a week ago

Yellowing 10 days after transplant, abnormally high co2 reading?

Heres some pics. Some of it almost looks like light bleaching, except the bulbs are not very close to the canopy. I don't often get deficiency problems so I'm not great at diagnosing them. Is it a phosphorus deficiency? Magnesium? Any ideas what triggered it?

Yellowing 10 days after transplant, abnormally high co2 reading?

I'm experiencing abnormally high co2 readings and yellowing plants about 10 days after transplant. Plants are still vegging. The room is sealed and co2 enriched with an electronic ignition co2 generator. The meter has been reading "hi" which means above 2500 ppms. I have cut the gas to the...

    Runoff ppm 4000?

Here are some photos. These were lush and green from bottom to top only a few days before this.

    Runoff ppm 4000?

I'm wondering if the compost tea activated the guano all at once and somehow burned the plants. I'll take some pics today. I think I'm just going to retransplant everything into fresh soil and let this soil compost for a while and make supersoil later.

    Runoff ppm 4000?

So I transplanted into Roots Organics about a week ago. They are in 7 gallon pots and I also added a handful of Mexican Guano to the medium before transplanting. A couple days after transplanting I watered in a compost tea extraction using cow humus, kelp, and fish hydrosolate. Now, a week...

    Mini split condenser inside garage?

I'm helping a friend build a small 4k 10x10 sealed stadium within his two car garage (roughly 20x20x9). Its a rental and he wants to keep any modifications to the garage itself at a minimum. I have an extra 2ton mini split I'm going to give him, and I would like to ask any AC experts out there...
