The Th3Jungl3Boy's Garden Is Open with Purple Kush & Granddaddy Purple!

Very clean setup. Keep your air pump outside the garden as you don't want the co2 pumped into the roots. Hopefully the air outside is cool as well to avoid heating the bucket water with hot air. Looking forward to more pictures.

    Electric Advice Please.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll see what is involved in rewiring the hoods with a slightly heaver gage cable for safety and it is going to be run on 240 volt. If I can do 1 a day i'll be happy. Thanks for the advice.

    Electric Advice Please.

I want to run my garden lights using ballast that are placed outside of the garden to deduce in garden heat. They will be about 20 foot , maybe 25 from the hoods . What do you think would be the best way to accomplish this seeing the hood cords that plug into the ballast are 12-15 foot in...

    carbon scrubbing or exhaust?

I think another poster may be right, go with filter then fan-lights then out. All the stink should be filtered first and only heated air is exited out. good setup.

    Grow4's First UC Run -12XL 8 gallon 7600k

GFG, What are you going to veg under, T5's or something stronger? Is that a co2 sensor hanging in the middle of the canopy? I have a skunk-bigbud strain I think im going to try but this trip Ill use the DM line and apply the KISS style. I should have everything ready to go in 2-3 weeks...

9000w Dual Arc Organic Soil Beds

few questions Is 1 foot deep of soil enough and how are you going to support the plants from falling over in flower? Are you going to leach the beds to run off salt build-up? Is there any type of aeration in or around the roots? Won't they get soggy? The plants look beautiful but I've...

U.S. Attorney in R.I. threatens to prosecute pot dispensaries

Thats what they tell you but if the cops decide to visit you it's at their discretion whether they kill all your plants, shoot your dog and take you out in chains. No one seems to be on the same page. If you talk to different lawyers about the rules even they have different idea's about how...

    Grow4's First UC Run -12XL 8 gallon 7600k

Looks awesome, did you have any issues with using the hydroton and sucking up any small rocks with the pump. Can you take a pic of your light -hood layout as it's hard to tell how you have them placed over the pots. I have your same setup, we talked yesterday but I still have a few things to get...

Root accelerator products + UC = bad idea?

My 8 gal 12 bucket system was packed full of roots so tight it slowed the water return to a trickle. It was 2 plants shy of a total loss. I did use roots excellarator along with all the other H&G products but the system accelerates root growth at an unreal rate on it's own so don't use it. I'm...

Inline blower flow - Air direction

thanks Jsän I thought the same thing. The hydro guy analogy for his idea was using a supercharger on a race car, forcing the air through the hoods. I know a little about engines and supercharger setups and although our goal is to force air, it 's through some stainless tubing with almost 0...

Inline blower flow - Air direction

Is there any difference in end output if you're using an inline fan to pull air, (vacuum) instead of pushing the air (Blower) when you using closed hoods. I was told by a shop owner that the output is severely reduced when pulling the air through hoods but he couldn't explain it convincingly...

    What are the best bulbs!?

I spoke with a tech from Lumatek a few months back about using Sun Pulse bulbs and he recommended staying clear of them and opted for Ushio bulbs when using the Lumatek 1000's. He thought they were a better option and Hortilux was jacking the price on their distributors. I've had great luck with...

    One chiller multiple loads

do you think it would be better to run outside air through the lights and vent it back outside using a large inline fan with insulated duct work? I've done it like this for a few years now but only growing in dirt. I wanted to use the 1HP chiller with the manifold type setup to cool ice...

Air condition troubles. Need some idea's

I've been here with this idea also. This may actually be the cheapest and easier as I only have a hollow door in place now so cutting would be tit an I framed the opening with 2x6's and lagged them into the concrete using a RAM so overall strength of the frame is there as well. I'll just have...

How much lighting? Opinions needed =)

you could even go bigger with 10-12000 but as stated above use cool tubes and use 16" fans placed under each one blowing straight up at it. I've seen this done and the plants could stay pretty close with no burn as the heat is blasted straight up to the ceiling. Vent all the tubes outside.

Air condition troubles. Need some idea's

Yes this is a sealed room but I think I may build an air tight box for the back and vent it outside through 2- 6" holes. Lows has vent kits and this would stay pretty un-noticed by neighbors. I'll suspend the the AC from the ceiling like they do heaters in a garage. Ill just have to keep from...

Air condition troubles. Need some idea's

my problem is my garden is in a concrete room off my cellar that has no windows and only a door that I framed in. I can't punch a hole threw the foundation as they are all exterior walls. I have a 25000 btu window-wall mount frigidaire that I need to use. I grow for medical patients so there is...
