Great grow man love to see someone rocking the bubba like that. I like the tables also seems like that might help keep the water cooler as well.

We just got half of our system going and we're doing 10 buckets, 12 1k's but planning to expand to 15 buckets, 18 lights. We also have the 5 ton excel and was wondering if it would be able to handle 18 lights. You said you were having heat issues, was this because you tried doing more then 12 lights with the 5 ton and it couldn't keep up? Like I said, we only have half the system going so 6 of the 12 are being used right now, hoping it can handle at least the 12 if not 18. Thoughts?
BTW- amazing build out! Now I'm almost embarrassed to post our start up because your's is so perfectly done!

Cooling with barebulbs is difficult and requires some tuning. It's hard to get consistent room temps, even with adequate air circulation.

If you haven't already, you need duct air through-out your whole grow area to get control of your temps. Otherwise, your air handler is just intaking a lot of cold air.

-No heat issues YET....Running 16 k with no co2 heat with the 5 ton at night...Guy at excel says a 5 ton can handle 15 bulbs w/ co2..With the installation of another 5 ton and 8 bulbs I will be at 5000btu per 1k..Adequate for a so-cal summer day...

Absolutely...My ducting takes the cool air to the far side of my 22 ft room..Temps range from 74 cool side to 78 warm side...Plant leaves are 81 with the laser therm..

Trunk bud lol! I can't wait to be able to take pics of that.

Laser temp guns are cool! I remember when I first got mine, I measured everything lol Did you seal up your drains yet? Wondering if that solved things for ya.

-Beautiful trunk bud..Hopefully I have some to show off soon...

Just harvested my flat garden 6 k aircooled over 3 3x6's...These mpb's are killing it...The bucket trunks are 5 to 10 times the size of my flat garden...And again I sleep a lot better with 15 rather than 115...


Love this system and again thank you to dd and everyone else for sharing there wisdom...

You sent me a pm re. cubes and i will try to explain it to you best i can. I have used both 4x4 and 6x6x6 cubes. The 4 inch cubes dont allow for great branch growth during veg but the 6 inch i get beautiful branching on my cuts, so rather than a stick clone when i transplant to the mpb when i use 6 inch cubes i transplant a small bush. These branches end up huge and yield goes way up.

Another thing

if i transfer 2 cuts at the same time to the mpbs one 4 inch cube and 1 6inch cube, they r both exactly the same height..... the 4 inch one will be a foot around and a foot shorter than the plant in the 6 inch cube at the end of 3 weeks flower.

When your growing those indicas a foot equals about a pound in yield.

the best possible veg setup

buy n ebb n flow table and build a pvc frame to lay on top of the table. Put a 6 inch cube on the table and measure from the top of the table to the top of the cube and add 12 inches. Make your fram this high. Now you can clone directly on your ebb n flow table directly into your 6 inch cubes... take your cuts and throw a piece of plastic over your pvc frame and make sure it relatively sealedto the edges of your table.... now you have a 4ft x 4ft cloning chamber/vegging table. Once you hit 10 - 14 days, remove the plastic, fire up the 1000 and veg away. No transplant shock from small cubes to big cubes, you didnt even touch them. continue veggin until your ready for the mpb's.

I have tried everyway bro, this is the best and you will never here my going any other way again.

ps make sure your veg water is chilled mate, many peeps get root rot at this phase, or at least a start to it. You must chill your water weather you veg or flower
