Those are actually musk melons, not cantaloupes... americans just call musk melon cantaloupe....anyways great to see so many summer gardeners out there. And good to see chicken man still postin good threads. Take careBeen harvesting a few maters,had to toss a few due to some insect damage,going to brew a spray today.

I like!@DismalDude -- if you can find the seeds (Territorial Seed Co was where I got mine) and you're into making homemade pumpkin pie, you need to grow an heirloom squash called Marina di Chiogga. It is, BY FAR, the best, sweetest, best winter squash I have ever grown. Amish pie pumpkins cannot hold a candle to M. di C. for natural sweet flavor, or lovely smooth texture. IT'S AMAZING!
