What you said about the floor and ceiling! Man I got some stuff a while back from the store and it’s instant rocket ship ride to planet high but within a hour or so im coming down. It seems thats the standard for dispo bread cannabis. I remember last year I treated myself to a “top shelf” 8th. Dude this stuff looked like fire! It smelled even better. The high made me want to crawl out of my skin, super weird! It was a Indica strain also.

That's why you can't just say indica or sativa, it's not that simple. Unfortunately the State doesnt understand that, so we are stuck with the same commercial offerings inbred each year to create the next flavor of the month.

100% agree! You can even see that in the black market outdoor scene… I mean, I wouldn’t know anything about that though when I was out there doing that scene a new strain would come on and all the “big buyers” would come around and ask what you’re growing so they could plan the market out. I hated that aspect of it.

Thanks brother, and you and I have the same points of reference! Truly I believe that every real smoker or user of cannabis should have my kind of understanding. Not to sound conceited of self-inflating, but how many people, on here even, can list off the genetic and terpene profiles that work specifically for them?

I knew you guys were related! The water brothers. What do you mean by terpenes that work for them? I get the flavor aspect but how would one strain work better let’s say for pain? The northern lights from Sensi doesn’t do much for pain for me, yet the nl5 that are all different cultivars work well for pain. While the sensi Nl is a good day time smoke in terms of mood.

I think having a good understanding of terps and general strain affects should be a thing lol. Could save a home grower hundreds of dollars and 6 months or time and energy!

I will say one good thing that came out of the dispos for me was exactly what you just said! I started questioning why certain “Indica” weed wasn’t working the same way as the other “Indica” and that got me wondering why! And thus I started paying attention to the terpenes : ) now with that said… the rabbit hole is so much deeper than just figure the one or two out. Some work well with others, some cancel the effects out, tons of variables! So when I really stop and think about the level of “hunting” youre doing, it’s really impressive to me!

That's a tough one to point down since everyone's endocannabinoid system is different. But @logic Has a great starting write up on terpenes. You can search which terpenes have differing affects, but ultimately cannabis is a mask for pain more so than a remover of. That might mean terpenes that boost your mood so that you day to day pain becomes less bothersome, terpenes that can calm you so that any underlying "stress" from the pain. Think of it as psychological aids to physiological conditions. What cultivar do help you for pain?
