theres a time and place for everything. if someone cant smoke before or after entering their workspace, then they have the self control of a child.

theres one good reason to smoke in a grow: "because i want to", and theres prob 50 reasons why not to smoke in a grow that consist of more intelligent answers.

take a piece of glass and blow your smoke onto it. now tell me you want that residue all over your bulbs, reflectors, glass if you have hoods. walls, fans, scrubber, air conditioner, dehumidifier.

that smoke negatively effects numerous aspects of your grow room.

but please, tell me again how cool it is to smoke around the medicine youre making for potentially terminally ill patients.

Getting a little extreme there bud?
I have personally lit a joint while listening to Stick Figure,
it transcends you into enlightenment :D
And if your already an all day smoker, makes the tasks so much more fun,
Like dreaded defoliate days, watering days, etc.

But this is all off topic
So I'm not the only one?:D
i think foo dog went about over board on the defecating comment lol:smoking: go smoke a nowl dude in the grow

Yeah guess what @FooDoo it is cool to smoke in your garden:smoking: Something sideways up your arse with all the technicalities that don't harm shit.

well said. spoken like a true scholar. thank you

If you want to burn in a grow go for it. It's as organic as pissing in your peatmoss...

Seriously tho it's a mentality. How many have pets in a grow, do not change cloths ect....theres hell of a lot more worse than smoking in a grow. Tea bagged cola's are 1.

Hope all the outdoor cali farmers who were near those wildfires last year threw there crops in the trash then! Contaminated medicine trying to injury the sick!

Seriously tho where's the tree's at...Someone has some vert pics that make a person say good Lord look at that....theres the call out who has em?

I personally have had crops ruined by a brush fire that was 1/2 mile away from my outdoor plants. The smoke settled into the valley and sat there for 2 days. 3 months later at harvest they still smelled like smoke. Had to trash it all.

answers a question with a question and posts two random links with nothing cited from either of them.

strong case there my man! im sold! lets go light one up in the grow room! maybe when we're done we can defecate in the corner!
Have at it!

You trashed your grow because it smelt like smoke?

What do you think it smells like when you burn one?

The perils of growing. Sucks is a good word for having to trash it off because of a fire months before...

If I derailed this thread I do apoligize...

When you say "trash it" does that mean you sent it to the hood instead of the dispensary?

The Secret Recipe

Healthy plants, proper environment all day and night from day one till finish that mean lighting and environment, proper irrigation and nutrient practices, no bugs, wilt, pm, no decencies, knowing your strain, nutes, and equipment. Proper maintenance pruining, cleaning, cloning and ipm. Proper veg times proper plant placement.

Not taking short cuts, using band aides or rushing anything.

Genetics play into also but isn't luck or a gavita, or a box of rockwool it's every little thing every day.

Who woulda thought that a weed that grew in ditches needed so much attention?

Curious as to who is hitting these numbers and what strain you're running and what light and light spacing you're using.

This is possible with double ended fixtures like Gavitas. Double ended fixtures do not produce more weight per light. What they do is allow you to expand your grow space while keeping the same light intensity used to produce 2+ pounds with digital/hood ballast technology.

The ideal foot print that offers the proper light intensity to maximize weight for digital 1000 watt ballast is 4x4 feet, with the right environment, one can pull 2-2.5 pounds per light over a 4x4 area.

Double ended fixtures can practically provide the same light intensity over a 5x4.8 area that digital ballast provides over a 4x4 area. You go from 16 sq ft to 24 sq ft, almosy 1.5 times the area. Which equates to almost 1.5 times the weight. To do it over a 5x5 foot print you need to run your lights at 1150. So the myth is that people are not hitting 3 a light using DE FIXTURES. It's getting the same light intensity over a bigger area with a fixture where the magic lies

So if I had a 15 digital ballast over 4x4 areas that would cover 240 sq ft. I could cover this same area with 10 gavitas. So if pulled 2 a light on 15 hoods then I would yield 30 pounds. If I had 10 gavitas over the 240 sq ft then I would be hitting 3 a light.

Here is a good explanation

I've actually cheated and ran a 600-750 Gavita DE in a 4x8 space with respectable yields. But as a rule I usually run a min of 600 watts per 4x4 for flower.

Proper plants per light

A word of caution when going from 4x4 to 5x5 area. You must also adjust your plants per light formula that you are accustomed
using to get 2+ per light.

For me it was 9 per light topped 1-2 times on a 3-4 week veg cycle with OG Kush. Basically 3x3 plants with final height 42-48 inches tall over the 4x4 area.

9 times 1.5 is 16. So on a 5x5 footprint it would 4x4 plants with final height 48-56 inches tall over the 5x5 foot print.

I know people doing it with 5-6 plants per light and 25 plants per light. It all depends on the time you want to spend during veg and how big your root mass medium is.

I just got 2.5 off one Spydrx plus light. It's only 660 watts in a 4x4. I ran 16 in 3 gallons. I would have got more but I burned with uv in the beginning and stunted some of it. It was skywalker kush from DNA. I'm working on another 4x4 run with my Akorn doing 12. Looking at 3 pounds on that one if everything goes right.
