Hi all, just figured I’d make a thread to post some of my results on, and update periodically

Current setup is a 3x3 AC infinity tent. This is my second time trying to grow indoors

I’m an organic soil grower, using compost, gai green, oyster shell, ewc, etc

This run is a clone of Rainbow Guava #5 by bloom seed

She’s on day 25 of flower today

Always learning and experimenting. This is my first time doing a ScrOG and I’m enjoying the whole “one plant” thing, except for my lack of planning and only finishing her in a 5 gallon fabric pot.

Happy growing! 💚

I personally use 4 7 gallon pots for my 3x3 and I have a slightly smaller one where I use 4 5 gallons pots. It might be too much the way you train it though, my goal is to get to flower asap so more plants help to have less veg time but you can definetely have a jungle with just 1 plant, it will just take a bit longer.
Also congratulations! Its looking great.

Thanks for the tips guys! I vegged this for just shy of two months, and planned to flip earlier but kinda lost track of time. Overall it will be around a 4 month grow which certainly isn’t feasible for each run…🧘‍♂️

Will likely be doing at the very least a 7-10g next time, or even a 15 if it’s just one again

I have 20 gallon pots in case I wanna do a single plant in the 3x3 so dont be shy about the size, specially since youre going organic, its gonna be a sturdy plant. Bio-mineral and synthetic fertilizers lack many of the goodies that organic offers as Im sure you know. Kelp and alfalfa alone are a big game changer, so its oyster meal because it has chitosan which is great for flower formation and dolomite lime doesnt have it. Like I said, I use 4 7 gallon pots but I forgot to mention that I also lollipop and SCROG them so dont be afraid to go with more plants either, both options are fine, more plants will just save you probably in between 2 weeks and 1 month depending on how vigorous is the strain. I veg mine for around 1 month.

Oh yeah 20 might be even better since I probably have around 15g total amended right now so that would leave me some room to top dress and mulch, something I didn’t quite do well this time (filled the pot too much). Next batch I have a bunch more rock dust, pumice, and whatever else I can get from build a soil locally. The alfalfa sst is great stuff! Have only been using recharge this time since I have a bunch of it

Defoliating is something I’ve been trying to practice and get better at

Day 27 update

Some purpling/yellowing coming from nowhere. Not totally sure what’s causing it yet, thinking underwater/lockout from root bound/too cold at night. For now I dimmed the lights by 10% since I just raised them not long ago and also fed her gai green bloom, hoping she can snap out of it soon.

Some of it seems natural strain pigmentation, some get purple, blue, even black, copper, etc... but the first picture is not good. Is the PH okay? Seems like something nutrient related.
I have a bunch of reference photos from others growing this strain and haven’t seen this early purple. Which leads me to believe it’s related more to a lockout for sure. Fed with Gai green bloom 3 days ago and now this is seemingly out of nowhere.

So yesterday I added 1tbs of epsom into the soil and scratched it in, but realized I should have watered in instead. Too late now…

All things considering, she’s still frosting right up 😁

Could potentially be my watering habits, I have been giving 5-10% every other day or so, perhaps I need to bump that up occasionally for a real good saturation. Have been battling with fungus gnats so trying to keep that happy medium

Organic benefits from a dry period, not necessarily fully dry but certainly cant be always wet like coco. I water when the weight of the pot has lowered significantly since the watering. Also its the same strain from same bank? Because different banks isolate different phenos, some of it looks normal to me but it might not be. In any casi its just a few leaves, if it was all nutrient related the blue leaves would be looking worse I reckon.

This is a clone I got from a buddy here local so it’s pretty consistent. My watering style is mostly Build a Soil way, so I keep it moist, but never wet, try not to ever let it get too dry either. Just trying to keep consistency for the most part. She’s seemed to really enjoy that and praying 90% of the time now since adapting to that style. These leaves are just tripping me out a little. Yes it’s only the very bottom leaves that are turning yellow, but the majority of purple could just be from low temps and she’s not taking in phosphorous? I hate to chase deficiencies with living soil, so I’m mostly just giving her what she needs and hope she snaps out of it? Appreciate your tips!!! :)

The small pot is def not doing me any favors either…The tilth is terrible since it’s so compact with roots

The lower leaves look like potassium deficiency to me but its anyone's guess, I can only tell there's something wrong with the nutes same as you. The blue could be cold totally, but that never stoped my winter grows from giving me kick ass buds and the terpenes preserve better if its cold in late flower but obviously too cold is a problem. Was the compost fully composted when you used it? Ive seen people with similar symptoms for using a too acidic compost. Could also be the plant overgrowing the roots, happened more than once to me when I had big plants in small pots, mantaining the balance like you said is much more complicated because the soil is depleted so you have to feed them properly, which I see you are doing.

Kinda defeats the purpose of growing organic if your soil depletes so quickly because youre gonna be always chasing with slow release nutes and having to wait days to see a result. This is why I keep organic bottled nutes and even bio-mineral liquids if I need to act as fast as possible. In any case if it doesnt get worse is no biggie.

Ive been searching online and I can see some phenotypes of your strain being blue. If it came from a clone, then maybe your friend or the person who you bought it from doesnt have as big of a disparity between light and dark temps. I recently planted 6 dosidos-33 and theyre suposed to get blue when its below 19ºC at night (perfectly harmless) but only two did, some times its the opposite.

Yeah man, talking with another friend he feels like it’s mostly just from the temps, so I’m going to try and adjust that, it also could just be genetic expression being shown earlier like you say. Let’s give it a week and see how she looks with lower light and maybe some more water volume 😁

This soil/compost was cooked for about a month. but it’s way too much like ‘mud’ than I prefer. So next run will be much much different and better

Will try to keep this journal ongoing
