Considering all the issues I've had and needing to get rolling, yesterday morning I tossed a bunch of seeds from 2011 that I produced and stored in the refrigerator. My note say Bx1 MySat/Indica.

My guess is I wrote the wrong year because I don't recall chucking pollen back then

Anyway, 6 already have 3mm+ tap roots, and the others have cracked

I took a picture. Will post later

Finally, I'm up and running.

Now that I have lots of seedlings the 6 hole bubbler wasn't gonna cut it, so I pulled out my DIY Bubble Bath, which is a 24 can cooler. I cut a overhead office light grate to fit. Under that is disc type air stones. It uses minimal water, but being open, it is prone to algae development. No biggie to dump , clean and replace once a week until they get transferred anyway

Seeds are started in Starter Cubes. Once taproot exits the bottom I insert the cubes into 3" net pots and side fill with small ornamental stones from Dollar Store.

~ 200ppm nutes barely covering the grate. The resultant bubbles keep the tap roots happy and the seedlings growing. Look between the net pots to see the bubbling

The container on the left is a re-purposed one pound HR V+B container, filled with special re-freezable goop. It keeps the bubble bath cool all day. I have 2, so I can rotate. Babies will stay here until ready for their F & D totes

I probably lost the reveg due to stupidity. When I transferred it to the bucket I did not add enough nutrient, nor did I add sufficient air stones. I doubt it will recover, but what the H

This morning I pulled the reveg and replaced it with the oldest young plant

All seedlings are now in my DIY Bubble Bath

The babies have grown considerably since Friday

The plant that was in the Bubble Bath is now under an Amare Technologies SE 220. It looks shorter, but it's not. The rest of the stem is below the white cover

Behind it are more seeds in starter cubes

I dumped the nutes and used bleach to kill the light algae bloom that was building up on the grate and the cooler walls

Damn, something pilfered my newest seeds. Maybe it happened when there was easier access in the SE 220 tent, but I didn't notice when I moved them under the HOT5

Still, I have 8 that have 3+ nodes, 2 on first set of leafs, a couple that may or may not pop, plus, the larger plant under the SE 220

The plants under the TL HOT5 are doing quite well. Probably will need to begin moving them to individual Mini-Me F & Ds by next Sunday

The plant under the SE 220 (went full spectrum yesterday), is just beginning to develop a nutrient slurping root system, so should take off this week. Also, I needed to add one liter of nutes to contact the bottom of the net pot

Wait until you see pics tomorrow of the plant, the roots, and the plants under the led HOT5s.

It's getting exciting for me now. Babies are growing super fast, and the lone plant under the SE 220 is rapidly developing side branches. The lone plant is not as yellow as it looks in the picture

Amare thinks they will be ready to get me the SE 250 panel within 10 days. I'm gonna need it

Root Pics

First is the lone plant in the bucket

The plants in the Bubble Bath I trim back to ~ 3" to force more roots to come out the sides

Here are pics of both the plants (will choose 4 best) that will go under the 2 Amares and the lone plant under the SE 220. I will move that one under the hot5 led and have 2 plants under each light fed by my Mini Me F & D

The babies were droopy last night. This morning I cleaned the igloo and replaced with fresh nutes. They have perked up quite a bit since this morning, but not yet 100%

Young plants have totally recovered

Got some bad news from Amare, my SE 250 still not shipped. Moved to the back due to a EU Distributor's order

I decided to move forward, somewhat.

I will take the 2 best and put them under the SE 220

I will move the lone plant under the hot5. To do this I have to re-position the table it rests on, so that the bucket can sit on the floor. That should position the light fairly even over the plants

Job done. Here we go...

First 2 pics are pre-swapping. My big concern being the length of the roots from the 2 plants now in my dual Mini Me F & D. I tested how long to run the flood cycle to assure roots get whetted, and am foliar spraying ~ 6Xs a day

The coco cup in the lower left is actually in a hole that I cut as an experiment to draw air in as the nutes drain back to the rez. The purpose is to get more O2 to the roots. will see how it goes. I can quickly do the same to all 4 totes- the other 2 once I get the SE 250

So far, so good

All plants doing well.

Bubble Bath

These really need to move out of BB. That said root development up high on the net pot is very encouraging, as once they get into their new home they will anchor and provide more nutes to the plants

Bucket Plant

The primary leafs are as big as my hand. growth has slowed since moving from the Amare SE 220 to under the TLs (240w)

Mini Me

These babies are doing exceptionally well by comparison to the TL plants, although those aren't that far behind. I think the biggest reason is the F & D (with lid) rocks

WOW. All newer plants are jumping out of their net pots, with leafs reaching to the light above. I took 3 clones from the Sat, which is beginning to bud up

Pic of 2 plants moved into their dual Mini Me F & D but still under the TL led tubes (4 red + 4 white).

I also moved the rest from my DIY Bubble Bath to a tote with a proper lid. They too have taken off with leafs reach toward the light. I should have done this sooner

The remaining plants and clones are in the far back bubbler. I have neglected to address water temp, and of course it was warm.

I decided to try out my double bucket idea. First I cooled the nutes down, lifted it out of the way, then put the empty tote, but adding several blue ice packs then placing the tote with nutes and plants on top.

Be interesting to see how long it keeps the nutes cool
